After Rebirth, I was Entangled by a Second Generation Rich Guy Again

Chapter 3

Ji Anning found herself lost for words as she gazed into Wen Yumo’s dark eyes.

She doesn’t wear any makeup, yet her eyes were moist and her face was as beautiful as a peach blossom, absolutely gorgeous. Her slender, snow-white neck and clear collarbones can catch people’s eyes. Wen Yu’s eyes sparkled even brighter at the sight of her stunned expression.

He took his gaze away from her collarbones and his voice softened, “It’s dirty now, don’t drink it.” He reached for the porridge bowl in her hand as he spoke.

Ji Anning stared straight at him, and just as his fingertips were about to touch the bowl, she suddenly pulled her wrist away from him. Wen Yu was caught off guard.

He froze for a moment and said to her in a low voice, “I’ll have someone cook for you again. Wait here and don’t drink this”.

Ji Anning remembered that time, he smiled and apologized on behalf of his friend. Then he had someone make her another meal as compensation for the dirty porridge.

She was indeed very hungry at that time, so she accepted the meal and ate it greedily.

Since then, Wen Yu has been entangled with her.

But Ji Anning was not familiar with them.

Before the start of military training, Ji Anning was granted special permission not to participate because she had to take care of her grandmother. After two weeks of military training, the classmates who were originally strangers had become close enough to joke around with each other without regard to age or rank.

Only Ji Anning remained a stranger to them, unable to blend in with the group.

She could vividly recall the silence that descended upon the classroom when she pushed the door open.

She went in to get her things, turned around and left – she still had to go to work and didn’t have time to waste arguing with others.

A girl’s loud voice came from behind her: “Looks like it’s true. If it’s not true, why didn’t she defend herself?”

But even if she defended herself, would they believe her? Weren’t those rumors and gossip spreading from them?

They chased after Wen Yu, but couldn’t make him look at them more, and the envy turned into outrageous rumors, stabbing her body like swords, causing her to bleed.

Ji Anning faced Wen Yu for the first time after being reborn, feeling extremely complicated.

She still remembered the troubles that Wen Yu’s entanglement brought her, but she remembered even more clearly that after her death, he was the one who settled the helpless grandma.

It was also him who threw her enemies from the high-rise building, repaying blood with blood.

Ji Anning seemed to see the young and indifferent man standing on the top of the building in the rustling night wind again.

He had blood on his face and his eyes looked like evil spirits, making her afraid.

But there seemed to be a black hole in his ink-black eyes, with a huge suction force thatattracted her.

Ji Anning had a premonition that if she was attracted by that black hole, she would never be able to escape.

Wen Yu looked at her with a burning gaze. His companion had already prepared a lunch of meat and vegetables and was walking over with a smile, ready to say to this beautiful school girl, “Wen ge bought this for you,” and assist in his pursuit.

Suddenly, the beautiful female student lifted the bowl to her mouth and drank it all in one go, without warning.

Gudong, gudong, gudong, gudong.

Gudong, gudong, gudong, gudong.

Gudong, gudong, gudong, gudong!

The boys were stunned, staring at Ji Anning as she drank the whole bowl of porridge without stopping.

She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and looked at the equally stunned Wen Yu, then she threw the metal bowl on the table with a “clang,”

“Wasting food is not good,” she said.

She picked up her backpack and walked straight past Wen Yu.

The boys stared in amazement as she walked out of the cafeteria.

“What the hell? Wen Ge?” the boy holding the tray looked confused. “What’s going on?”

Wen Yu also stood frozen in place, stunned.

For a long time, he covered his eyes and laughed, “Holy sh^t!”

Even when Wen Yu sat back in his seat, he still trembled with laughter.

“This girl is so hot, isn’t she?” someone said.

“Did she see us?” someone else asked.

“How is that possible? Does she have eyes on the back of her head?” the person next to him was incredulous.

Yes, these guys deliberately threw a piece of paper into the porridge pot when Ji Anning was preparing to serve it, not as an accident, but to get Wen Yu to try and pick her up.

Wen Yu covered his eyes and laughed. He was still caught up in a “Holy sh^t” mood.

With great difficulty, he managed to restrain himself and said with a smile, “I thought I could get her phone number, and now I don’t even know her name.”

Chen Hao, who was tasked with preparing another meal for Ji Anning, suddenly said, “I know who she is.”

Everyone turned to look at him.

“I just remembered. I thought she looked familiar just now, and I remembered when I saw her going to get free porridge.” Chen Hao said, “She’s the girl who was on the news this year, the one who ‘carries her grandmother to school, do you remember?”

“That poor student?”

“Yes,” Chen Hao said, “I saw the photo in the news report, and I told you guys, this poor student is really beautiful. You were all busy playing games and didn’t pay attention to me. Look, in person, she’s ten times more beautiful than in the picture! My eyes, so sharp. In the photo, she only showed half of her face, but I could tell she was a beauty!”

Wen Yu kicked him, “Search for the news and show me.”

Chen Hao searched on his phone, found the article, and handed it to Wen Yu.

Wen Yu took it, and everyone crowded around to read it out loud:

“In the golden September, after experiencing the college entrance examination, students came to their own campus. However, Huada welcomed a special student… Xiao Ning’s mother died many years ago, and her father’s business failed, leaving the family without contact. the young Xiao Ning and her grandmother depended on each other… Xiao Ning swore never to leave her grandmother, and she would take her grandmother with her wherever she went… The school leaders attached great importance to this matter, and X principal instructed that no student should drop out due to family difficulties. The school management quickly mobilized…blah, blah, blah.”

Behind the official-sounding article and the praises of success, the boys were too lazy to read and just said “bababa.” Wen Yu pushed his face away with five fingers and flicked his head aside.

The boy was still laughing to himself, “Xiao Ning hahaha, Xiao Ning.”

Even with positive reports like this, the news would not use the real name directly, mostly using aliases.

Wen Yu rubbed his chin.

Xiao Ning?

That day, he sat in the last row, right next to the back door. Just before school was out, he turned his head and saw someone quietly slipping out of the classroom before the dismissal bell rang.

She is a courageous girl. She was afraid of being caught by the teacher and sneaked out with a as nimble as a cat, bending her waist.

At noon, the ancient teaching building with its large windows, where history has been preserved, had a girl with a short top that shrank up, revealing a white waist in the sun that caught Wen Yu’s eye.

As the girl turned her head, she revealed a delicate and beautiful face.

Wen Yu’s ears suddenly went quiet.

The teacher’s lecture, the whispers of the students, and the sound of pages flipping all disappeared.

In his past life, Wen Yu later verified how deep of an impression Ji Anning had left on his heart with just that one glance.

But in this life, Wen Yu doesn’t know anything. He just felt a strange feeling when his eyes and heart shook when he saw Ji Anning for the first time.

He stared at intenly her until she disappeared.

He moved silently to the window and looked out. Sure enough, not long after, the girl ran out of the building again.

Light and agile like an elf, if she had a pair of transparent wings, she would probably be able to fly.

The next day, he saw her again.

Wen Yu was on his way to the cafeteria when she dashed out from the cafeteria, carrying a large bag in one hand and sweating on her forehead. She passed by him without noticing him at all.

The bag looks heavy, and her shoulders are so thin, yet she ran so fast.

He saw her greet the auntie in charge of the cafeteria line as she ran past. When the auntie came over, he went over to ask about her.

“Oh, her,” the auntie said, “the little girl is pretty good at making money. She takes orders for classmates in the school and gets paid.”

It’s not uncommon for students to take orders for their classmates in the school cafeteria, as well as getting hot water, waiting in line, and holding seats for others. They say that they even compete with each other for business.

Does she need money badly?

She definitely does.

Wen Yu saw her ordering only one vegetable dish in the cafeteria and then went to get some free porridge, and he guessed it.

She’s not losing weight. She’s already thin enough. Wen Yu would bet that if Hua University held a slim waist contest, she would definitely win.

Girls who order only one dish to lose weight would not eat staple foods. Porridge is a staple food, and staple foods make you fat.

She’s just trying to save money.

From the moment she entered the cafeteria, when Wen Yu saw her, several boys began discussing her. When she went to get porridge, Wen Yu kicked the person next to him and said, “Throw it in the porridge bucket, now!”

The person looked at the girl next to the porridge bucket and then at the crumpled tissue in his hand and immediately understood. Smiling, he did as Wen Yu said.

Wen Yu then went over to strike up a conversation.

He thought it was going well, but unexpectedly, the girl didn’t follow the script.

However, knowing who she is would suffice. Wen Yu thought he would go ask Director Ma in the afternoon.

Just then, several boys crowded around Chen Hao, looking at his phone. “Her waist is so slim,” they exclaimed in admiration.

Wen Yu fell silent for a moment, then leaned over and took Chen Hao’s phone who was opposite him.

It turned out that there were several more photos at the bottom of the article, one of which showed Ji Anning bowing to school leaders and revealing a glimpse of her lower back.

The midday sun was too bright, and Wen Yu was feeling sleepy, hoping for the end-of-class bell to ring. When he turned his head, he saw this small waist, and it flickered in his eyes.

It flickered all the way into his heart, itching.

Wen Yu immediately closed the webpage and threw the phone to Chen Hao, raising his eyebrows at the group.

The group immediately shut their mouths. They understood that they couldn’t casually comment on the girl called Xiao Ning anymore.

Wen Yu is smitten.

Ji Anning left the cafeteria, eluding Wen Yu. She didn’t see him follow her, and she didn’t encounter any trouble for two days. This afternoon, after finishing delivering takeout to the girls’ dormitory, she packed her bag and left school, heading towards the bus stop.

When she walked out the school gate, she saw a black Hummer parked on the side of the road. Ji Anning turned her head as if she hadn’t seen it and quickly walked towards the bus stop.

A horn sounded behind her.

Ji Anning paused for a moment, then hastened her steps towards the bus stop.

Wen Yu is sitting in his Hummer and said, “…”

Wen Yu found Director Ma at school, whom he was familiar with, and got all of Ji Anning’s information, from her student ID to her class schedule and family situation.

He timed himself today to wait for her at the school gate, and when he saw her come out, he honked his horn. But she seemed…not to have heard him?

It doesn’t look like ML has a cold hearted bully attitude here. It looks like, after finding that FL lacks money and saving money by eating free porridge, ML maybe will throw money to her thinking it will looks like a shining armored knight using his ‘Money Sword’ to solve FL’s problems, thus it will make her be grateful to ML.

But, he doesn’t understand that throwing money or like waiting for her at school gate with 0.8 million Yuan worth car will make her hate him more and if she had accepted this ride here, it would have created her life he’ll again with rumors.

Maybe because he’s 2nd Gen rich, doesn’t mean that he will understand every problem that FL is facing without going through that same problem by himself right?

He needs to open eyes and change the mentality of MONEY IS EVERYTHING, IT SOLVES EVERYTHING. Looking forward to character growth of ML.

Doesn’t know why it hurts me so much for seeing female leads getting insulted by false rumors including this Gold d!!ger one and the 3000, than male leads because of being chased by rich FLs !? Maybe male leads doesn’t get this kinda rumors in novels ?! Female lead getting insulted hits me hard being a fellow woman.
