Tragic Pregnancy In The Interstellar Chapter 3 and Chapter 4

Chapter 3: Genetic Matching

“Do you remember me?” Wang Jinbao asked, as he supported his waist and puffed out his belly, squatting in front of Huang Wuji, his eyes wide.

Huang Wuji, still bound and feeling disgusted by Wang Jinbao’s appearance, furrowed his brow and moved away, finding him repulsive.

“How could you forget me? You said you liked me and even gave me a White Spirit Flower. You said I looked as beautiful as the flower. Do you remember any of that? It was five months ago, on Gan Gou Star, at Yunhai Mountain!”

Huang Wuji carefully recollected the events from five months ago. Filled with anger at Rong Ting’s intimacy with his younger brother, Huang Tianba, he couldn’t stand watching the two of them together every day. In frustration, he had decided to embark on a casual journey to a place called “Gan Gou Star.” Accompanying him were his good friends, Gao Jie and Lin Lang.

That place was destitute and desolate, inhabited by people with peculiar minds who took even casual remarks seriously.

The only thing that pleased him was the hospitality of the host family, particularly their soft and beautiful but simple-minded son, who captivated him. It was merely a playful indulgence, and he had left after just one day.

“Are you… Wang… Wang, Wang Jin… Bao?” Huang Wuji hesitated to say.

“Whose?” he asked.

Wang Jinbao shook his head, feeling the wet strands of hair flicking against his face, causing a slight sting. He let out a sigh and then asked, “Whose? What do you mean?”

“The child in your belly, whose is it?”

Wang Jinbao furrowed his brow, threw away the towel, and said, “It’s mine, who else could it be? Are you trying to deny it?”

“What are you saying? I haven’t even touched you. How could it be mine?!” Huang Wuji firmly denied this. He was not the kind of person to shirk responsibility. If he had indeed done it, he would admit it and take care of them for a lifetime. But… he was certain that he had only teased the child and never laid a hand on him.

“You… you’re despicable!” Wang Jinbao’s eyes turned red, and he exclaimed, “Uncle!”

Li Lanting descended from the sky, still dressed like a green cucumber.

“He’s denying it!”

“Denying it? Hmph.” Li Lanting sneered and took out a metal needle. He aimed it at Huang Wuji’s arm, pressed it down, took a quick sip, and pulled it out. The straw now had a few tiny invisible threads inside it, completely unnoticeable to the naked eye.

Then he took out another needle, gently pressed it against Wang Jinbao’s belly, and carefully extracted genetic threads. Holding the two needles with genetic material, Li Lanting stared at Huang Wuji, his smile growing colder.

“Let’s perform a genetic match. Then, he won’t be able to deny it!”

Huang Wuji remained indifferent, his face cold. He was confident that even if they performed a genetic match, he would not be the father of the child.

He had never engaged in intimate contact with Wang Jinbao. It was impossible for him to be the child’s father.

“Ding! Match successful. Match degree: 99.999%…” The testing device notified, “Match successful!”

Huang Wuji was dumbfounded.

He had witnessed the test himself; it couldn’t have been falsified.

“How is this possible… It can’t be… It’s not mine… I didn’t touch him… Why? Why is this happening!”

Chapter 4: Silly Wang Jinbao

Wang Jinbao, dressed in the clothes Li Lanting had provided, looked like a red chili pepper.

“Little uncle, don’t you have any normal clothes? If it weren’t for all my clothes being torn, I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing these weird outfits,” complained Wang Jinbao.

Li Lanting shook his head playfully. “You don’t understand. This is called art!”

Huang Wuji was still in shock and hadn’t recovered his senses.

“I don’t believe it! There must be something wrong with the instrument. Come on, let’s go back to the imperial court and retest!” exclaimed Huang Wuji.

This made Wang Jinbao furious. He held his chest, supported his waist, and walked over, kicking Huang Wuji’s leg with a weak force.

“What more do we need to test? That night, there were only the three of us. If it wasn’t Gao or Lin, then it must be you!” Wang Jinbao accused confidently, locking his eyes onto Huang Wuji’s.

“What are you saying? Gao or Lin… you don’t even know who it is? What’s going on? Tell me!” Huang Wuji questioned, staring directly into Wang Jinbao’s eyes.

Wang Jinbao blushed slightly and bit his lip. “I… I didn’t find out until the next morning. I don’t know why it happened or why I didn’t feel anything. I was scared, so I hid until you all left before coming out. I thought I had just made a foolish mistake. But three months later, I found out… I was pregnant. I knew it had to be one of the three of you, so I came looking for you! I can’t let my child be born without a father!”

Huang Wuji couldn’t close his gaping mouth in astonishment. How could something like this happen? How clueless does one have to be to not realize when someone takes advantage of them at night?

Moreover, he mentioned that Gao Jie and Lin Lang were ruled out… which means he had already tested them?

“You’ve already tested Gao Jie and Lin Lang?” Huang Wuji asked, his voice trembling.

Wang Jinbao nodded and replied, “Yes, I’ve already tested both of them. They’re not the father. Only you are. Stop dragging it out. You’re definitely the father of my child.”

Huang Wuji acted as if he hadn’t heard, his handsome face turning pale, his eyes gleaming with determination. “I… I don’t believe it! Let’s retest! Come with me back to the imperial court, and we’ll retest!”

Wang Jinbao, displeased, held his waist and walked back and forth. Suddenly, he stopped at Huang Wuji’s feet, grabbed the end of the chain, and tugged, pulling Huang Wuji along.

“What were you doing, Jinbao?” Li Lanting, the cucumber, jumped down and stood in front of them.

In Wang Jinbao’s beautiful apricot-like eyes, tears of grievance appeared as he tightly pursed his lips. “He didn’t believe me. I had to prove that I wasn’t accusing him wrongly!”

“The imperial court is searching for him. If you two go out, they’ll catch you!! He is the crown prince, and you would be the wicked thief who kidnapped him! Falling into the hands of the imperial court would have meant a grim fate! You would lose your lives!” Li Lanting explained logically and reasonably, but Wang Jinbao was stubborn and refused to listen.

“I don’t care. I have to prove it! Uncle, open the door!” Wang Jinbao angrily pinched Huang Wuji’s waist and twisted it in the opposite direction.

“Ouch! That hurts! What are you doing?!” Huang Wuji winced in pain, dodging Wang Jinbao’s pinches and twists.

Li Lanting couldn’t overpower his obviously foolish nephew, so he shook his head and sighed before pressing the control button. A turbulent flow of spatial disturbance spun in front of the door, and the images kept rotating and shifting until they finally settled on a blurred, illusory wall.

“Let’s go!”

Wang Jinbao tugged the chain and pulled Huang Wuji towards the wall. The wall became ethereal, allowing the two of them to pass through, before instantly solidifying.

Li Lanting sat on the shelf, barefoot. At that moment, the anxiety disappeared from his face, replaced by a triumphant smile. He bit his small tiger teeth and said, “Brother, we are halfway through the second step.”

In front of the graffiti wall, hundreds of imperial guards surrounded it, their eyes fixed on the wall without blinking.

“Captain! Is the crown prince really inside?”

“According to reliable information, that’s the case!”

“…”

After waiting for a while, just as everyone was about to give up, the wall suddenly bulged. The bulge had a springy quality, like a bubble.

“Gurgle, gurgle, pop!”

The bubble burst, and two figures tumbled out!

“Prince… Your Highness?! It’s really Your Highness!”

Wang Jinbao had never seen such a large gathering before, and he paled with fear. The chain in his hand slipped from his grasp.

“You audacious criminal! How dare you kidnap the Crown Prince! Execute him on the spot!”
