Tragic Pregnancy In The Interstellar Chapter 5 and Chapter 6

Chapter 5: Winning Over the Crown Prince

Wang Jinbao instinctively protected his belly, hunching over and evading the guards who were trying to apprehend him. His face turned pale with fear, and he loosened his grip on the chain in his hand.

“Daring villain! How dare you kidnap the Crown Prince! Execute him on the spot!”

The guards shouted angrily, surrounding Wang Jinbao. He stared fixedly at Huang Wuji and said, “I want to prove that the child in my womb is yours!”

Huang Wuji had been untied and now looked coldly at Wang Jinbao’s stubbornness. He waved his hand and ordered, “Take him to the Eastern Hall.”

How could this be?

He didn’t understand why he felt this way!

It shouldn’t be like this.

Wang Jinbao gingerly touched the bruises on his face, wincing in pain. He unbuttoned the red chili pepper outfit given to him by Li Lanting, revealing his collarbone and neck adorned with marks from the beating he had endured. Hidden beneath them were numerous scars that Huang Wuji had seen before, but he had never felt such overwhelming guilt until now.

“I have been carrying your child with great difficulty, enduring all the pain and discomfort. And yet, you sent people to beat me. I couldn’t dare to fight back, enduring all those blows and kicks. The physical pain… it hurts, but the pain in my heart is even worse.”

Huang Wuji was torn inside. As he listened to Wang Jinbao pouring out his feelings, he wished he could slap himself twice!

“How old are you?” he asked.

Wang Jinbao made a confused sound, looking up at Huang Wuji, unable to decipher the emotions in his eyes. He asked, “What?”

Huang Wuji brushed aside the strands of hair that fell over Wang Jinbao’s eyes, gently tucking them back. He breathed warm air onto Wang Jinbao’s face and said, “How old are you now?”

“I’m… eighteen,” Wang Jinbao blushed, feeling the heat rise in his cheeks, and becoming flustered.

He liked Huang Wuji. They had only spent one day together, but he had already developed feelings for him. This man was handsome, his voice pleasant to the ears, and although he often seemed aloof, he was undeniably gentle. All of these qualities made this poor country boy from a destitute planet completely infatuated.

“Oh, I’m twenty-seven,” Huang Wuji removed his gloves and used his clean fingertips to gently touch the injured areas on Wang Jinbao’s face. He spoke earnestly, “You’re not of legal age yet. Let’s get engaged first.”

“Engaged?” Wang Jinbao was taken aback. This man, who had previously doubted everything, even insisting on another genetic match, was now proposing to him?

Was he… dreaming?

Chapter 6: Made Headlines

After the genetic matching and retesting, the results remained the same.

“The child in your belly is indeed my own. Don’t worry, I will take responsibility for you and the child. We will get engaged next month.”

Wang Jinbao stared dumbfoundedly at Huang Wuji’s typically cold and handsome face as he confidently discussed marriage. He was so impressive! Wang Jinbao really liked him!

Grasping Huang Wuji’s collar, he pulled it forcefully, and with a “snap,” Wang Jinbao took a bite out of Huang Wuji’s chin.

“From now on, you’re mine! Whatever you say, I’ll do it!”

Shiny droplets of saliva clung to Huang Wuji’s chin. He absentmindedly touched it, observing the saliva on his fingertips and wondering why he didn’t feel disgusted.

He had a serious cleanliness obsession. He couldn’t stand others touching his belongings, let alone making direct contact with him.

Perhaps he genuinely liked this child, and his level of affection had far exceeded his own expectations.

“Your Highness, His Majesty is summoning you… His Majesty said you should come along.”

The Imperial Court Palace was a massive crystalline structure. The Crown Prince resided in the Eastern Palace, the innermost layer, belonging to the Emperor.

“Father.”

Huang Wuji, accompanied by Wang Jinbao, passed through layer after layer of terminal checks until they entered a purple crystal space.

“We’ve arrived.”

A tall and imposing man stood with his back turned, even taller and stronger than Huang Wuji. He turned around, and his front view exuded a commanding and intimidating presence.

Wang Jinbao, a child from a rural planet, had never encountered someone with such charisma. This was the most prominent figure in the Third Galaxy! He was immediately frightened, his face turning pale as he tightly grasped Huang Wuji’s arm, trembling nervously.

“Father, please don’t scare him.”

Suddenly, Emperor Ming Sen chuckled. His serious expression instantly became comical as he raised his eyebrows and walked toward the bewildered Wang Jinbao. He rubbed his hands together and pointed at Wang Jinbao’s round belly, speaking softly and gently, “I heard that you’ve been carrying my grandchild. How many months has it been?”

Wang Jinbao was taken aback by the sudden change in the Emperor’s aura, leaving him speechless with his mouth half open.

Huang Wuji gently patted Wang Jinbao’s hand, defusing the situation. “It has been five and a half months. Jinbao had been through a lot. Your Majesty, if there is nothing else, we would go back then.”

“Very well, go back. Take care of yourself. Tianba and Rong Ting will have their grand wedding next month, and you two should join as well.” Emperor Ming Sen waved his hand decisively, making a unilateral decision.

Huang Wuji frowned. “Your Majesty, Jinbao is not of legal age yet.”

“Change it! Change it now! From that day onwards, the legal age… Jinbao, right? How old were you this year?”

Wang Jinbao stuttered, “Eight-eight-eighteen.”

Emperor Ming Sen immediately summoned a decree plate, smashing one of the laws and amending the information to “The legal marriage age in the Third Galaxy: eighteen years old.”

Huang Wuji and Wang Jinbao: “…”

Back in the Eastern Palace, Wang Jinbao followed behind Huang Wuji, struggling to find the right words. He wanted to ask but hesitated.

Huang Wuji spoke first. “You didn’t need to worry about it. Father had been desperate to hold his grandchild for these past few years. What happened that day was normal.”

“It wasn’t about that.” Wang Jinbao was distressed, holding his words and furrowing his brows.

Huang Wuji turned around, gazing at Wang Jinbao’s troubled expression, becoming interested. With a teasing finger, he lifted Wang Jinbao’s chin and in a seductive yet gentle voice, asked, “What is it then?”

With the cool touch of the finger on his chin, Wang Jinbao looked up, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. He stared blankly at Huang Wuji’s extraordinarily handsome face, his curiosity and fear conflicting within him. But after contemplating for a while, he finally voiced his question.

“Who is Rong Ting? When you heard that name, you seemed to be in pain and sad. Could you tell me, my lord?”

“…It was no one!” Huang Wuji appeared frustrated, his features tightly furrowed, his eyes filled with sharpness. He fiercely grasped Wang Jinbao’s chin, causing him to struggle before forcefully releasing him.

“Remember this! Don’t meddle in matters that had nothing to do with you from then on!”

Being cast away so cruelly by Huang Wuji, Wang Jinbao’s face turned pale. Falling behind, he absentmindedly touched his belly and murmured, “You are the father of my child. How can it not concern me?”

On that day, the imperial family announced that the Crown Prince and the Second Prince would have a joint wedding in one month!

The entire Imperial Star was in an uproar!

The entire Third Galaxy was in an uproar!

“The Crown Prince willingly lowered his status to marry a villager from the mountains,” rightfully became the headline news the next day.

The name “Wang Jinbao” naturally topped the trending searches.

Yep. I had to do a double take, thinking I missed a chapter or something. haha.

I feel this was written as a side story and even so, It’s not taken seriously. It just seems silly and like the previous comment, the pace is faster than flash. Also, maybe it’s the translation but the way the way the prince keeps emphasising “child” gives me pedophilic vibes.
