Transmigrated As Cannon Fodder Omega, Their Knees Bent Chapter 10

 Chapter 10: Taking the Stage

The omega seemed a bit startled and shook his head, “I’m fine.”

Upon seeing Lou Ting appear, the fans went crazy and started shouting.

“It’s Lou Ting?! It’s really Lou Ting! Sisters, let’s go!” At that moment, the enraged fans noticed Lou Ting standing by the roadside and rushed towards him.

“Ubyatl! Ghldtl swa casvbla!”

These crazy fans had lost all rationality, and many of them had already climbed up along the edges.

Lou Ting positioned himself in front of the omega, looking coldly at the crowd. “Until you understand the complete situation, you have no right to condemn me.”

“You’re talking nonsense! The whole incident was clearly recorded in the video! Do you still want to argue?”

With so many people around, Lou Ting couldn’t take action and could only keep retreating with the omega.

The width of the steps was narrow, barely enough for two people to stand. If they retreated any further, they would fall down!

Lou Ting furrowed his brows.

Just then, dozens of security guards rushed out of the recording building, with the director running behind them.

“Lou Ting! Lou Ting! Are you okay?” Perhaps due to running too fast, the director’s face was red. “It’s good that you’re fine. Why didn’t you let me know in advance? Yesterday’s incident caused such a big uproar, someone must have tried to stop you!”

Watching the director’s anxious expression, Lou Ting suddenly felt a hint of amusement.

Yesterday, the director didn’t bother to differentiate between right and wrong and made him apologize to the “young master Lu”. How come overnight his attitude changed so quickly?

The director, seeing that Lou Ting didn’t speak, didn’t feel awkward at all. Instead, he smiled and said, “Hurry inside, the security won’t be able to hold them off for long.”

The security guards formed a human wall, pulling and pushing the fans to both sides, creating a passage by force.

The fans desperately reached out to grab hold.

“Let go of me! Why aren’t you grabbing that scumbag Lou Ting?! Why are you grabbing me?!”

“That’s right! I’m calling the police!”

“You bunch of snakes and rats! Shameless!”

The scene was chaotic for a while.

Lou Ting turned his head to the omega and said, “Let’s go.”

“Huh?” The omega was still contemplating how to get out when he heard Lou Ting’s words. He paused for a moment and quickly followed.

Inside the rest area.

The director smiled and said to Lou Ting, “Let the makeup artist do your makeup later. Our program has hired an internationally renowned makeup team with professional techniques.”

Lou Ting still had the residue of the prosthetic on his face. It would be troublesome if another makeup artist worked on it.

Lou Ting said, “No need, I’m used to doing my own makeup.”

“Don’t be polite. The program invited them for a reason…”

“Director.” Lou Ting interrupted him, “Time is running out. You should go and focus on the live broadcast.”

The recording of the first episode of the talent show would be live-streamed online and on television simultaneously. It involved audience voting and served as a prelude to the program.

The director said, “Alright, you can get ready first. You’re the fifth performer, so no rush.” After saying that, the director happily walked away.

The omega watched for a while and couldn’t help but sigh, “Your director has a really good temper.”

Lou Ting pursed his lips, remaining silent.

Good?

This goodness seemed to come from He Yunzhou.

Yesterday, He Yunzhou called him out, and it seemed like there was a misunderstanding with the director.

Lou Ting said, “Take a seat and rest for a while. We’ll leave when the crowd outside disperses.”

“Okay.”

Lou Ting sat in front of the makeup table.

He wiped off the makeup on his face with makeup remover wipes, along with the lightweight clay used for shaping.

This thing seemed inconspicuous, but it was very convenient for creating masks, and once applied, it was barely noticeable.

A product of the interstellar era’s disguise techniques.

Lou Ting thought that he wouldn’t need this thing anymore in the future.

The omega initially held a bottle of mineral water and was drinking when he noticed what Lou Ting was doing. He quickly took out his phone and snapped a picture.

In the photo, only a small part of Lou Ting’s profile was visible, with the camera precisely focused on his fair and flawless cheek. Long lashes formed a shallow curve, and beneath his straight and slender nose was a pair of slightly pursed thin lips.

It seemed like Lou Ting sensed something as he glanced sideways at the moment the photo was taken. The faint teardrop mole below the corner of his eye embellished his indifferent and chilly gaze, sending shivers down one’s spine involuntarily.

Lou Ting said, “Don’t share it before the live broadcast.”

“Okay!” The omega was extremely excited.

He had been a fan of Lou Ting since his debut, and he had remained a loyal fan until today.

He never understood why Lou Ting went silent for a while and then reappeared with a completely different face. Even if his facial features changed drastically, his face shape should have already been set during his teenage years. It shouldn’t be entirely different from before.

Lou Ting’s transformation was too drastic, causing many fans to exclaim, “He’s changed too much!” and eventually stop supporting him.

Subsequent variety shows further disappointed the fans, and their enthusiasm for Lou Ting was completely worn out. Now, there were only a few remaining loyal fans.

Now… the omega was immensely grateful that he didn’t leave.

Before going on stage, there would be an interview with a host, which wouldn’t be broadcasted live but would be edited and included in the overall variety show.

Lou Ting waited in the backstage corridor leading to the stage.

The host put on her earpiece and, upon hearing the sound from inside, turned around and began to speak, “Next, we have…-” Her words abruptly stopped.

When she saw Lou Ting’s face, she visibly froze.

In a state of panic, she glanced down at her cue card. It was Lou Ting, yes!

“You…-“

“I am Lou Ting.”

“Huh? What… You clearly…” The host looked bewildered. At this moment, she heard the director urging her through the earpiece.

The prelude had already started playing, and they needed to bring the guest on stage quickly. They couldn’t afford a live broadcast accident.

The host wanted to explain, but the director unilaterally cut off her microphone.

Helpless, the host could only proceed in a conventional manner and said, “Welcome, Lou Ting, to our program.”

After a pause, she continued, “In our first episode, numerous talented singers and celebrities are participating. So, may I ask, what is your purpose for being here?”

As the prelude outside was about to end, Lou Ting stepped forward and smiled gently at the camera. “I want to reclaim the stage that belongs to me.”

The audience in the live chat quickly noticed something was amiss.

【Who’s next?】

【I don’t know. There’s no specific order for the performers. Anyone can go whenever they want, it seems.】

【Yu Senze’s solo just now was incredible!】

【What about Lou Ting? Are they going to show us something, or not? I was actually looking forward to seeing this jumping clown perform.】

【Looking forward to it! Maybe they’ll do some rolling around, begging for votes. Hahaha!】

【Hey, I advise you not to get your hopes up too high. You know what they say, can’t sing, can’t dance. Lou Ting can’t do anything except rely on their face to make a living, and they can’t even do that properly.】

While the live chat was heatedly discussing, the lengthy prelude finally came to an end.

However, no one came on stage.

The director became anxious and picked up the microphone, about to shout, when a figure slowly walked up from backstage.

The director quickly grabbed the walkie-talkie and said, “Lighting technician, focus on Lou Ting now!”

The lights poured down from above in an instant.

The young man softly hummed a tune and stepped forward within the light. His exquisite cheeks appeared even fairer under the illumination, and his light brown eyes seemed to hold a pool of cold spring water.

His makeup was light, and his outfit had discarded the heavy stage elements from before. He wore a white shirt with jeans, looking like a boy next door straight out of a comic book.

The barrage of comments momentarily went silent.

Then suddenly, it exploded: 【Holy crap?! Within three seconds, I need to know everything about this man!!!】

【Oh my god, who is this person?! Where are the fans? Give us some fan knowledge!】

【This face, this nose, this mouth, ahhhhh—I’m running through the neighborhood with the neighbor’s dog, feeling handsome!】

【The prelude was too long, and I almost quit. I was so careless, I almost missed my future child’s father.】

Lou Ting slowly walked to the center of the stage, tightly holding the microphone with both hands, gently closing their eyes, and softly sang, “je t’aime.” The voice was deep and melodious, and the lingering trailing notes seemed to depict two lovers sitting under the moonlight, pouring their hearts out to each other.

A beautiful French love song, Lou Ting’s voice perfectly matched every turn of the melody.

No need for a high-pitched voice, no need for a deep, muffled tone. Simply use the voice to outline beauty.

One beautiful scene after another unfolded before their eyes.

It was as if they were in a utopia.

In the next moment, the stage curtains were filled with the flickering lights of fireworks, and Lou Ting’s voice suddenly soared, “Si je peux te revoir—!”

A clear and bright voice, accompanied by a long trailing note, pierced through the air!

“Wow!!”

Not a single audience member was unaffected by his three consecutive jumps across different vocal ranges. The voice was powerful, and even after Lou Ting stopped singing, it seemed to resonate in their ears!

With the final trailing note falling, the fountains surrounding the stage also fell silent.

The judges were also unable to regain their composure for a long time. After a while, one of the judges took out a scoring device and gestured, but couldn’t come up with a suitable score. They then moved away from the microphone and quietly discussed with the other judges.

“I feel like he sang really well.”

“Me too.”

“But… what we want is a boy band.”

What’s the use of singing well?

Boy bands were all about synchronized dances and soul-stirring power songs. Yes, he sang well, but it doesn’t meet the standards for a boy band audition.

The judge shook their head, indicating that they couldn’t give a high score.

The other judges seemed convinced as well and prepared to score.

Just then, the stage lights suddenly changed.

Following that came the sound of ‘thump, thump, thump,’ simulating the beating of a heart.

Colorful and flashing lights illuminated Lou Ting.

The previously gentle and polite boy next door underwent a sudden transformation.

“Welcome to…” Lou Ting’s voice slowly deepened, with a slightly hoarse tone casting a mysterious veil over the entire song. Suddenly, with a ‘clang’ sound, like the chime awakening a midnight slumbering spirit, Lou Ting tore through the rays of light and leaped out!

——”Let’s jump!”

The smooth and melodious dance music suddenly exploded. Lou Ting threw away the bothersome microphone and the colorful lights twisted and flickered around him. However, everyone’s gaze remained fixed on the young man in the center of the stage. Every precise movement of his dance brought an overwhelming sense of oppression!

Every inch of his body’s motion was just right, and the force was so great that two buttons on his shirt popped off!

His slender fingers traced over his eye corner, his narrow eyes filled with seduction, and the beauty mark at the corner of his eye was even more captivating. The slightly upturned corner of his mouth revealed small dimples on both sides of his cheeks, making people yearn to be intoxicated by them!

Every frown, every smile, every action he made, all captivated the audience’s attention!

It was as if he was a graceful nobleman wandering through a garden of flowers, perfectly combined with the explosive dance music.

Many audience members couldn’t help but sway their bodies, wanting to join this “mega party!”

Amidst the uncontrollable cheers from the audience, Lou Ting abruptly stopped his movements, turned around, and the audience then noticed that he was holding a red rose in his hand, which they didn’t know when he had picked up.

Following the final beats, his slender fingers twirled the green stem of the rose, bringing it up to his lips and gently biting it.

In that moment, as he glanced back, his lips moved slightly, and the voice that came through the microphone was soft. The audience involuntarily quieted down and listened intently.

“Come on, baby.”

This…is really a Gary stu novel huh? I’m not complaining at you, translator, and I will continue reading because I have no taste but I really wanna know mc background because how he is a god at street racing, agile enough to jump over to save the omega so smoothly, a great singer and dancer, knows fighting techniques and can disarm that star and just so much more. Some of that can be explained if he was a movie emperor and learnt it for a movie but the street racing? And isn’t he an omega? An inferior omega? Does that not impact his body and how strong it is? His previous life has impacted his current body but we haven’t seen him work for it. Like in similar novels where the mc was a fighter in previous life and this time has to work out to regain that strength. Idk I know this novel is one where you turn your brain off so I’ll do that in the upcoming chapters.
You’re doing a great job, translator, so I hope this won’t discourage you. Just had to mention all this before my brain fries and now I’ll turn it on standby mode.
    Thanks for translating!

Hey you are missing some details while reading or maybe you didn't read many interstellar novels before to pick up the information behind the lines , it was mentioned in first chapter that the mastermind suddenly announced that their matching is 100 percentage after the host transmigrated, and he was able to transform which the original host can't do before so, The mc's soul strength might have changed the body which was common in interstellar.
