After The Sweet Ending

Chapter 29: Wild (H) Part 1

It was already ten o’clock but Xu Wei was still on the bed, unable to get up. Her body was sore, and her private parts were numb; her belly hurting a little. She was so frustrated as she recalled announcing last night that she would r*pe Yu Shizhou, but in the end, she was the one who couldn’t move out of bed.

Sighing, she climbed down the bed and rose on her feet, but she almost collapsed as her feet hit the ground. A hot stream flowed out of her canal, wetting her thighs below.

Thin sunlight leaked in through the window, and spilled over her body, making her warm and her skin milky white. There was a bruising on her chest, down to her thighs with the usual red marks.

Sitting on the bed, Xu Wei stretched out her hand with difficulty to get a bath towel when the door opened. Yu Shizhou appeared in the doorway and wrapped her in one. Xu Wei took offense, and pinched his waist.

His sword-like eyebrows rose, and his gaze shifted downwards. Loosening his hands around the bath towel, it fell off. Xu Wei let out a soft cry, her hands subconsciously covered her chest. She was naked compared to him that was still fully clothed.

Her eyes blazed with fire as she glared at him. “What are you doing?”

“I want to f*ck you,” he whispered as he nibbled on her earlobe.

Xu Wei stiffened, wrapped herself tightly in the towel again and said solemnly, “I’ll never try to r*pe you again.”

During the weekend, there wasn’t much time to relax, and in the evening, Grandma Xu asked them to visit her at home.

August 1—The People’s Liberation Army Day—was also Grandpa Wan’s 80th birthday. Xu Wei, Yu Shizhou, and the Xu family elders attended the banquet. After paying his respects, Yu Shizhou was called by the old man to talk to him.

Xu Wei carried a glass of wine to the small terrace to relax and blow off some steam. Wan Lijue walked toward her through the crowd, wearing a black suit, looking so handsome.

Xu Wei raised her glass toward him. “When did you get back?”

“Today.”

“How was work? Did you bring me any presents?” Xu Wei asked casually.

“Work was fine.” Under the night, the lights from the hall were dim, hitting people with a hazy charm. “Can you do without your gift? I’ll bring it to you later.”

There were a lot of people in the hall, mingling. The Wan family’s social circle wasn’t small. Xu Wei inclined her head to look, and didn’t see Yu Shizhou’s shadow. He must be talking to Grandpa Wan.

Wan Lijue noticed her gaze as he touched the rim of his cup. “Looking for Yu Shizhou?”

“Yes, it seems they’re not done yet,” she admitted graciously.

Frustration stifled Wan Lijue’s heart, but he pushed down the resentment and smiled. “It’s not like you can’t be separated for long.”

“I’m passionately in love, I can’t help it.” She laughed, “It’s not as if you’ve never experienced it.”

She recalled how high profile Wan Lijue and Su Jing were when they were in love during university. Wan Lijue drove famous cars, picking up Su Jing and dropping her off campus every day. Posts about them appeared on the school forum two times a day.

Fortunately, no one in the school knew about her feelings for Wan Lijue, otherwise it would have been a sensational love triangle drama. Xu Wei thought about the days she liked him, it was only a short time ago, but it felt like years passed since then.

When she saw him again, her heart didn’t flutter anymore, only calmness. He smiled a little bit, but it was a sad one as he said, “Xu Wei, sometimes you’re really a cruel person.”

She had forgotten him when she said she would. He had regretted it, wanting to turn back time. Xu Wei was so frank that she didn’t even play along with him. Xu Wei bowed her head slightly, and he didn’t know if she was listening or not.

“Oh, you’re here.” Su Jing came over, took Wan Lijue’s hand and laughed. “I’ve been looking for you for a while now, but I didn’t see you.”

Wan Lijue’s eyes were cold as he grabbed his hand back. “What’s up?”

Su Jing glanced at Xu Wei with an ugly look on her face, and pursed her lips. “Do you have to be like this?”

Wan Lijue  frowned. “What’s the matter? Let’s go back and talk about this.”

“Why go back to talk about it?” Su Jing  raised her face with a stubborn look. “I know you regret not listening to your mother and being with Xu Wei in  the first place. You want to divorce me? I’ll let you do it. Even so, Xu Wei was reluctant to let go of Yu Shizhou.”

The word “even so” implied that she couldn’t let go of Yu Shizhou while hanging on Wan Lijue. Now, it was Xu Wei’s turn to be angry. “The two of you are arguing, why are you dragging other people into it? Divore if you like, what’s it to me?”

Yu Shizhou happened to arrive, so Su Jing spoke first, “Shizhou, you came at the right time. Our two pairs of childhood friends, now, regret marrying us, what should we do?” With her red eyes, it looked like Xu Wei joined forces with Wan Lijue to bully her.

Xu Wei became furious. What did she say? How could Su Jing be  so good at making a drama?

Yu Shizhou walked over to Xu Wei with a smile in his eyes. “Do you regret it?”

“Who regrets?” Xu Wei rolled her eyes and said, “I won’t regret it even if you did.”

Yu Shizhou’s heart calmed  down, and the sweat on his palms cooled. He was still a bit nervous, so he took her hand and stared at Su Jing and said, “She doesn’t regret it. Even if she did, I won’t let go and keep her trapped in my life forever. You take care of yourself.”

Yu Shizhou and Xu Wei walked away holding hands. Su Jing’s face turned pale, and her hand clenched into fists trembled slightly.

Wan Lijue snorted. “Jumping clown.” Then, he also walked away.

Su Jing covered her face, she had lost. Wan Lijue and Yu Shizhou, neither of them held onto her. Why? Before, they were clearly on her side, guarding her!

They walked silently, and the night breeze brushed the treetops. The moon was clear, and the ground was illuminated by the silver light. Xu Wei held Yu Shizhou’s hand for a moment as she asked, “Why aren’t you talking?”

“Nothing.” His tone was light, it was no different from before, but she could hear a hint of depression.

Xu Wei thought about what happened before and after. He met Grandpa Wan, then he found her. Did Grandpa lecture him? No, it couldn’t be. So, the problem was after?

She was in a daze as she asked, “You’re still angry about what Su Jing said?”

He stopped walking and turned to gaze at her. “I’m not angry.” It was just that when Su Jing spoke those words, there was a sudden chill in his heart.

“Weren’t you quite confident and generous just now? You’ve got quite a late reaction,” she joked.

“Where do I get my self-confidence? It’s not like I’m the one you like. Wan Lijue has stayed in your heart for ten years, and we’ve only been together for a year. You could regret it at any time,” he said, his voice turning a bit sharper.

She wasn’t aware that he felt insecure like this, so she said helplessly, “But I don’t like him anymore. Su Jing said what she thought I felt. I don’t regret marrying you.”

“Did you regret it before?” His eyes squinted, piercing through the heart.

Xu Wei was embarrassed and hugged him. “Come on, you’re more sentimental than a girl. I promise I won’t think like that. What are you afraid of?”
