Interstellar Feng Shui Master Chapter 6

Chapter 6

Qiu Miao: Good and Evil Have Consequences

Qiu Yanping didn’t hesitate when he felt someone taking advantage of him for no reason. He muttered, “Little ghost,” under his breath. It wouldn’t make sense not to retort. Stepping out of the darkness, he stood confidently in the well-lit area, squinted his eyes, and teased, “What’s the matter? You won’t come out? Are you trying to act all high and mighty?”

Laughter emanated from the shadows, an unpleasant sound. “Seeking momentary satisfaction with words will leave you clueless about how you’ll meet your end.”

Qiu Yanping smirked.

“I didn’t expect someone to still understand these mystical arts. But unfortunately, even if you grasp the basics and can name this formation, it won’t stop me.” The other person spoke ominously, and a flame ignited from the southwest corner of the darkness. Finally, the figure of that person became visible.

Qiu Yanping tilted his head. When the other person was busy making threats, he moved his fingers twice, holding a Five Emperors’ Coin between them. The coin was about as wide as a thumb, round on the outside and square on the inside, with a carved rune in the hollow part. Each of the four corners of the coin also bore intricate patterns designed to ward off malevolent energy. He slapped the coin onto the forehead of the man who was still sitting on the ground, dazed, without coming to his senses. In a hushed tone, Qiu Yanping recited, “The path of qi, the connection with the divine, the eradication of evildoers and spirits. Swift as the law commands!”

Qiu Yanping furrowed his brow, speaking sternly to stop the man. “Don’t go near her!”

“What?” The man turned to Qiu Yanping, pushing aside his hand without gratitude. “That’s my wife! Why can’t I approach her? Who are you? Why did you inexplicably appear in my house? You…”

The man’s rapid barrage of questions was abruptly cut off as Qiu Yanping forcefully dragged and flung him into another corner. He landed with a heavy thud, clearly shaken. Qiu Yanping swiftly dodged an aggressive attack from the woman, then pinned a Five Emperors’ Coin onto her chest, rendering her immobile. Her face contorted grotesquely as she glared relentlessly at the man cowering in the corner.

Under the intense gaze of Zhou Qingfen, the man turned unnaturally pale. Trembling, he retreated further into the corner, seemingly bewildered by her piercing stare.

Qiu Yanping looked coldly at the man, then approached Zhou Qingfen. She gritted her teeth and demanded, “Who are you? What’s your purpose here?”

“Taking someone’s life without reason will bring great misfortune,” Qiu Yanping said. He glanced briefly at the man cowering behind him and asked, “Since you’re already deceased, why don’t you move on to the afterlife and be reborn? Why cling to this earthly realm?”

“I’m dead, but he’s still alive. I refuse to accept it,” Zhou Qingfen spat out with a voice filled with fury. Her eyes flashed red, and despite the Five Emperors’ Coin’s restraint, she seemed to be gradually breaking free from its confines.

Seeing this, Qiu Yanping quickly affixed a talisman paper to her shoulders, igniting two spiritual flames, firmly immobilizing her.

“If it weren’t for him mocking me and not caring about me back then, I wouldn’t have experienced those horrible things. I wouldn’t have killed my own flesh and blood. Everything today is because of this man. I want him dead, and I want his entire family to suffer, to comfort my poor child!” Zhou Qingfen, unable to move, screamed in rage.

“I didn’t!” The man vehemently denied, huddled behind Qiu Yanping. He craned his neck to defend himself. “I never said anything hurtful. Did I ever utter a word? I didn’t say anything to you!”

“You didn’t say anything hurtful? Right, you remained indifferent, completely disregarding what your mother did to me! She forced me to take medication, forced me into surgery, all to slightly increase the chances of conception, without caring how excruciating the procedures were! She mocked me in front of so many people, ridiculing me for being infertile, for not leaving your Li family’s doorstep. And you? What were you doing then? You were like a spineless coward, timid!” Zhou Qingfen’s face twisted into a grotesque expression, as if she wanted to tear the man into pieces.

“Later, when I finally had a child, what did the doctor say? That the child’s position in the womb was unstable, and it might have died prematurely in my belly. What did your mother say? She said that the Li family couldn’t afford to lose its heir; the child had to be protected at all costs, no matter what it took.”

The man’s face displayed a trace of confusion. He had never heard a single word about medications, surgeries, or the conversations she described. He shook his head, murmuring in disbelief, “How could it be like this…”

“Hmph, when I mentioned divorce and leaving you, I suggested that your mother should find a more fertile woman for your brother to continue the family line. What did your mother say then? She said that the Li Corporation’s real estate group was going public, and we couldn’t afford to give anyone ammunition at this time. She invited my younger brother’s family to a suburban house, essentially holding us hostage, forcing me to give birth to that child.”

“I survived, but neither my child nor I received the care and concern we deserved. I spent my days looking at your mother’s sharp, mocking face, and listening to that child cry incessantly day and night. And where were you? You were completely indifferent, only concerned about your company and your stocks!” Zhou Qingfen accused, each word hitting Li Feng painfully. He clutched his head in agony, never imagining that his mother, who had always been gentle and dignified in front of him, had inflicted such irreparable harm behind his back to his wife and family.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry…”

As the redness in Zhou Qingfen’s eyes gradually faded amidst Li Feng’s painful apologies, Qiu Yanping watched as her emotions stabilized. He spoke slowly, “Good and evil have consequences. If what you said about the Li family’s matriarch is true, she won’t have many years left to live due to her wrongdoing. As for Li Feng, he was unaware of her actions, and to this day, he still holds you in his heart. His mistake lies in placing too much importance on material possessions and neglecting you…”

“I just wanted to provide you and our child with better conditions!” Li Feng exclaimed. He rushed to Zhou Qingfen’s side and tentatively reached out, touching her cold hands. “If I had known that my neglect back then would lead to such consequences… I would never have allowed this to happen. Qingfen, believe me, I love you.”

Qiu Yanping glanced at Li Feng, inwardly scoffing. Li Feng did harbor love for Zhou Qingfen, but he loved himself and his career more than anything else. If he truly loved Zhou Qingfen with all his heart, how could he have been so oblivious to her suffering? It was clear that he had already crossed the line of neglecting and abandoning his wife.

However, Qiu Yanping chose not to expose him. Instead, he looked at Zhou Qingfen and said, “Regardless of their mistakes, you shouldn’t sacrifice yourself for those who don’t deserve it, and you shouldn’t involve the lives of more innocent people. Reincarnate and find a better family.”

Encouragingly, Li Feng looked at Zhou Qingfen. “I will love you forever and keep you in my heart, but… I don’t want you to become someone unrecognizable because of hatred. Listen to what he says, leave this place where you shouldn’t be, and find someone worth your love.”

Zhou Qingfen showed a hint of hesitation. Qiu Yanping couldn’t help but frown at the insincere tone in Li Feng’s words. It was almost palpable that Li Feng was trying to manipulate the situation. He had truly started on the wrong foot by saving this particular soul.

“I… also love you, Afeng. Before I leave, can you hold me once more?” Zhou Qingfen returned to a semblance of her normal self, and the resentment had completely faded from her face. Qiu Yanping noted that she was actually quite beautiful, a typical gentle Southern woman. It was a shame she had ended up in such a family.

At those words, Li Feng took a step forward and gently embraced Zhou Qingfen.

“Release her,” Li Feng said, looking at Qiu Yanping. In response, Qiu Yanping raised an eyebrow, and with a faint smile, he reached out and removed the Five Emperors’ Coin that had held Zhou Qingfen in place.

Zhou Qingfen rested her head lightly on Li Feng’s shoulder and whispered in his ear, “He’s right. I shouldn’t have jeopardized myself for you or those unworthy people in this residential area. I initially thought that, with the Li family’s properties here, if people kept dying one by one over the years, your family’s real estate would suffer. But now, I realize that it’s not the right thing to do.”

Li Feng’s body shuddered slightly as he heard the cold determination in Zhou Qingfen’s words. He felt a twinge of fear at the thought that if she had carried out her plan, it would have taken him a considerable effort to restore the Li family to its former real estate mogul status.

Li Feng breathed a sigh of relief, his face showing the warmth of the affection that Zhou Qingfen had always loved about him. “I know you’ve always had a soft heart, and you would never do something so terrifying.”

“Indeed, to bring down the entire Li family, you alone would have sufficed. Your mother always spoke of the Li family’s three generations with a single heir, emphasizing the importance of preserving the family line. If the only son were to die, it would likely be a heavier blow than the downfall of the business,” Zhou Qingfen continued.

Li Feng’s eyes widened suddenly, and before Qiu Yanping could react, Zhou Qingfen’s hand plunged into his chest, ripping out the man’s heart. “I’ve always wanted to see if the hearts of the Li family are as black as they seem. I didn’t expect to find a touch of red in there. How could you commit such terrifying deeds?” Zhou Qingfen giggled foolishly, watching as Li Feng’s pupils dilated. She pushed him lightly, and Li Feng slid to the ground, blood gushing from the gaping hole in his chest, forming a pool on the floor.

Zhou Qingfen turned to Qiu Yanping and said, “I don’t know who you are, and I appreciate your good intentions, but I must take revenge for what I’ve suffered. Those who deserve to die shouldn’t live peacefully. Rest assured, I won’t involve any more innocent people. Once my vengeance is complete, I will accept whatever consequences come my way without complaint.” With that, she enveloped herself in blue flames, gradually fading away within the fire’s glow.

Qiu Yanping lowered his gaze and glanced at the lifeless Li Feng on the floor.

The Death Door thrived in autumn, claiming one life.

He removed the Five Emperors’ Coin from Li Feng’s forehead and another hidden under the doorstep, then turned and left the empty residence. The news of the death of Li Feng, the sole heir of the real estate magnate Li family, in the abandoned residence he had once lived in, dominated the headlines of all star networks the next day. The shock was too much for the Li’s elderly parents to bear, and they fainted on the spot, subsequently being admitted to an interstellar hospital.

Three days later, Li’s wife passed away due to excessive grief, spitting blood until her final moments.

When Qiu Yanping saw the body of Mrs. Li, her eyes wide open, never to close again.
