Black Moonlight Holds the BE Script

Chapter 103.2 Devious Young Girl

Su Su felt listless. Even the proud Luan bird beside her drooped its head.

They awkwardly waited by the apricot blossom forest for two days until Yao Guang, who had also come to Penglai to deliver spiritual elixirs, sensed that something was wrong and personally came to lead her in.

Yao Guang listened to the whole story and laughed, “It’s not your fault. It’s indeed easy to misunderstand, given the situation. But you’ve offended Cang Jiumin, and he’s vindictive. You might have a tough time ahead of you. ”

Yao Guang explained softly in her ear, “It’s well known on Penglai Island that Cang Jiumin is the son of the East Wing Master. When the East Wing Master underwent tribulation in the mortal realm, he encountered someone who sacrificed himself to protect him. Because of his sacrifice, a lonely and helpless girl was left behind. The East Wing Master brought her back to the immortal realm, helped cleanse her marrow and unblock her meridians, treating her like a treasure. All of Penglai knows that the East Wing Master intends to make Cang Jiumin and her Dao companions in the future. But that mortal girl was deceived by a Penglai disciple named Wei Xun.”

“Wei Xun? The disciple that Cang Jiumin wanted to kill two days ago?”

Yao Guang nodded, “Exactly.”

Su Su’s face showed a hint of embarrassment. At that moment, it was easy for anyone to misunderstand when a person with devilish Qi was about to kill a Penglai disciple.

Unexpectedly, he was just venting his anger.

Su Su quietly entered the immortal hall.

She was locked outside Penglai Island by Cang Jiumin for two days, but through indirect inquiries1旁敲侧击 (pángqiāo-cèjī) – to take an indirect approach (in making inquiries) (idiom); make oblique references; beat around the bush, she figured out why he had devilish Qi on him.

Cang Jiumin had gone to the mortal realm to exterminate devils.

Currently, he was in the hall to cleanse the devilish Qi on him to prevent the creation of an inner demon.

However, the itching powder had a seven-day effect, so he must be feeling uncomfortable now.

If Cang Jiumin were to see her, he would probably want to strangle her, so she couldn’t walk in just like that.

Concealing her aura, she looked around the immortal hall. She spotted a lazy kitten dozing off. Upon a closer look, she realized it wasn’t a cat but a tiger cub.

She put her palms together2Looking something like this: and said, “I need to think of a way to help your master get rid of the itching powder. Please, please.”

The little tiger opened its watery eyes and looked at her for a while, before lazily giving her a blink.

——Go on in. I’ll turn a blind eye.

Su Su chuckled. She had only recently learned to shapeshift, but luckily, she had an innate talent. So, she transformed into the form of the little tiger and imitated it. Carrying the antidote in her mouth, she confidently strolled into the hall.

“Roar! Roar! Roar!” She placed the bottle of antidote on the ground and used her baby teeth to tug at the lapel of the man meditating on the couch.

Cang Jiumin opened his eyes.

Su Su’s previous speculation was right. He was indeed clearing up the devilish Qi in his body. And because of Su Su’s sneak attack, he was now even worse off3雪上加霜 (xuěshàng-jiāshuāng) – idiom; lit. snow plus frost; to make matters even worse.

The moment he saw the little tiger, he originally intended to coldly tell it to scram.

However, when he looked at the spot between the tiger’s eyes, his expression became subtle.

He noticed a bright cinnabar dot on a tuft of the little tiger’s fur.

He squinted and looked at her with an ambiguous expression.

Su Su gestured for him to look at what she had placed down, and Cang Jiumin raised his hand. She thought he was going to pick up the bottle, but instead, he coldly grasped the nape of her neck.

Her four tender tiger claws scratch the air.

What’s going on, what’s going on!

The man didn’t even spare a glance at the antidote lying on the ground. Instead, he spoke with the hint of an eerie smile, “The pill furnace is lacking an ingredient. I was planning to keep you for a few days, but who knew you’d come to me on your own.”

With a wave of his hand, the lid of the pill-refining furnace in the hall flew off. He lifted Su Su up, about to throw her into the real fire.

The blazing flames almost burned through the little tiger’s bottom. Hanging from his fingers, she looked at him pitifully, pleading desperately.

Seeing her terrified expression, Cang Jiumin’s pent-up anger finally eased a little.

But after laughing, he still felt so malicious that he really released his grip.

After all…… an immortal body wouldn’t die so easily.

He let go and casually closed the lid of the pill-refining furnace.

Cang Jiumin returned to his seat, crossed his legs, and resumed his meditation.

A quarter of an hour passed, then half an hour, then even longer……

Eventually, he couldn’t resist opening his eyes, furrowing his brows as he glanced at the furnace.

There was no sound at all. Could she have actually died? After all, she was the daughter of the head of the Hengyang Sect. He could discipline, teach, or even dislike her, but if something really happened to her, Penglai would be implicated.

After hesitating for a long time, he lifted his fingers. The lid of the pill-refining furnace flew up, and the furnace slid towards him.

He had intended to pull out the person inside, but upon looking within, there was only a piece of charcoal resembling a tiger.

Now, even the inscrutable and gloomy Cang Jiumin felt slightly agitated. He took out the “charred little stick” from the fire, and his expression looked stiff.

“Wake up!”

It didn’t respond.

His anger had dissipated completely, overshadowed entirely by a sense of fear. Thinking of the young girl with clear and vivid eyes in the apricot forest of Penglai, Cang Jiumin tightly pursed his lips.

He raised his hand and touched the spot between the brows of the charred stick, intending to transfer his immortal Qi to see if it would have any effect.

However, in the next moment, a crisp voice sounded in his ears.

“Have you forgiven me?”

He abruptly turned his head, and the young girl appeared at his side. Her head was tilted as she smiled brightly at him.

Caught off guard, he found himself falling into the limpid autumn waters4秋水 (qiūshuǐ) – limpid autumn waters (trad. description of girl’s beautiful eyes) of her eyes.

The girl took two steps back, and stacked one hand on the other as she earnestly raised her hands to her forehead and bent into a sincere bow5Imagine the hands this way (the lady’s): Then, she raised her hands to her forehead and bent to bow. Do refer to this: .

“Su Su apologizes to the Immortal Lord. There was a misunderstanding in this matter. Since the Immortal Lord has calmed down, please forgive me.”

Cang Jiumin averted his gaze, suddenly understanding that this mischievous and cunning young girl was playing a trick on him. He thought he had seen through her, but he didn’t expect that the cinnabar dot was deliberately revealed as a “clue”.

Her intention was to make him recognize her, seeking a satisfying revenge.

Cang Jiumin’s finger joints cracked as he clenched his fist, crushing the charred stick in his palm.

“Li Su Su! You really are something else!”

The author has something to say:

Little tiger: I’ll turn a blind eye! Can’t see, can’t see!

The gift from the Nightmare Devil should be the best memory of Jinjin’s life. If he had such an identity, he should be very happy.

This doesn’t count as an alternate storyline, just a memory and a possibility for the future.

Her and the world…tsk3…prepare for the worst

I’m doing my masters in “management in innovation” — thank god I could study for free (we have a system when you can get your first degree completely for free based on your results in entrance exams). I’M LOVING IT (except for the thesis part – it’s interesting too, but omg I hate writing it…)

I had kinda bad experience during my bachelor studies in economics — our professors were very condescending and didn’t stop talking and eating fruits when we were defending our bachelor research results. I was thinking of not going to get Masters, but thanks to my mom “aiya, who’s gonna hire you without masters? Go study, stupid girl” kind of motivation I tried to study in another uni. I really recommend to research for “open door” days in your potential unis if you choose to continue. The vibe you get from the professors, the way they speak to you (how open they are/are they passionate about their research/do they have people who really work in this field) – it’s much more important than other stuff, in my opinion. Really listen to your gut feeling 100%, also go ask current students how is their daily life as a student (avoid questions like “do you like your uni/teachers” etc – we are all unconsciously are very defensive about our choices, it’s not even about lying, but about “I chose it so it can’t be bad”. Asking about something more neutral like amount of homework/contact with teachers/do they answer questions when you’ve completed the course- it’ll help you).

As for the research… eh, want to have the diploma, have to do it 😭 sometimes connecting it to your current/previous work or hobbies can be interesting. I wrote my first thesis about marketing online learning platforms- and it was nice, cause I could write about learning and put some duolingo owl memes as “a part of marketing strategy” too.

As for the novel… ah, it’s not just eating glass anymore, it’s living in glass breaking factory at this point 😂😂😂 love it.

Are you very busy with work? What do you want to study if you had the chance? (if you don’t mind me asking, I’m curious ><)

Trueeee… just im kinda sked about the research since I’m in the IT field and it might require coding and stuff 🤐

Work kinda hectic these days and stressful sometimes TT I wanna study Master in Cyber Security (preferably coursework mode)
