Watch You Turn Naughty

Chapter 6 Golden Retriever

The gaze Huo Konghe looked at her with, changed. “Are you trying to say you’ll sponsor me?”

Yao Yao shrugged. “You can think of it like that.”

Yao Yao looked at the silent Huo Konghe and said. “You don’t have to feel too pressured. I donate a lot of money every year and I don’t even know where a portion of it goes so why not just give it to you? As for you, you should be doing what kids your age are doing. Study well and properly live a university student’s life.”

Huo Konghe’s mouth gaped open, not knowing what to say.

Yao Yao harrumphed as if she knew what he was thinking. “I won’t disturb your daily life so you don’t need to be afraid of others knowing.”

Huo Konghe quickly denied it. “That’s not what I was thinking.” He didn’t want her to misunderstand so he quickly revealed his thoughts. “I just don’t know what I should do.”

Yao Yao shrugged. “Just do what you did today. Make meals during the day and f*ck me at night.” Hearing her say such obscene words without any shame, Huo Konghe’s ears turned red. Yao Yao thought him cute and couldn’t help but pounce on him again, wrapping her legs around his slender waist. Huo Konghe quickly carried her so that she wouldn’t fall.

“Do you accept?” Yao Yao pecked his lips. Seeing that he didn’t respond, she pecked him again. Yao Yao felt that he was acting coquettish. It was as if she was the one begging Huo Konghe to keep her instead. Yao Yao felt that she had gone back in time when she was starting out in her twenties. She had returned to the time when she had experienced her first love, liked acting coquettish and was fond of acting intimately with people.

Yao Yao placed her legs atop of Huo Konghe’s and replied to the messages on her phone while asking him questions.

“Which university are you studying at?”

“S University.” Huo Konghe answered honestly.

Yao Yao looked up at him and cracked a smile, faintly revealing her dimple. “What a coincidence. I’m your senior.”

Huo Konghe nodded. He had already been taken by surprise by her before so upon learning that she was an S University alumni, he managed to maintain his composure. “Then, where do you work now?”

Yao Yao thought for a moment and felt that it was better not to reveal her own identity. “I work at N Airlines.

Huo Konghe looked at her with unconcealable admiration and envy. “I heard N Airlines is difficult to get into.” Recalling that the driver referred to her as President Yao yesterday, he then added. “You must be very amazing. Are you a president?”

Yao Yao shook her head. “I’m just a small manager of a division. N Airlines has good treatment so their requirements are quite strict.” Yao Yao’s face looked calm as she uttered lies, looking at him without reservation.

Huo Konghe nodded in agreement. He looked at the time and somewhat embarrassedly brought it up. “I have a lab exam tonight. I want to go back to school and review for it, could I?”

Yao Yao nodded. “Sure. I’ll drive you.” She then got up and went back to the bedroom to change her clothes.

Huo Konghe stood at the underground garage, looking somewhat confusedly at Yao Yao. He pointed at the red sports car in front of him and stuttered. “I-is this…your car?”

“Yeah.” Yao Yao nodded. In fear of being exposed, she then added. “It’s second hand, very convenient. The company’s treatment is good.” In truth, she didn’t tell him the rest of the cars at the side were all hers as well.

Huo Konghe no longer asked and got in the car after her.

Yao Yao was very familiar with the road to S University. When they were just about to arrive, Huo Konghe said. “You can stop right here. I want to purchase some items.”

How could Yao Yao not see through his thoughts? He was afraid that the other classmates would see him being sent back in a nice car, so in order not to expose him, Yao Yao stopped at the roadside.

Just as Huo Konghe was about to open the car door, Yao Yao pulled his wrist and he stumbled back into the car. Huo Konghe looked at her in confusion.

“Your WeChat.” Yao Yao handed the phone to him, a QR code on the screen.

“Oh, yes.” Huo Konghe whipped out his phone and added her WeChat.

Yao Yao’s attire was a complete contrast to yesterday’s. She wore a white tee, denim shorts and Dr. Martin shoes. With her deep red curly hair, she looked just around Huo Konghe’s age. Huo Konghe still thought Yao Yao looked gorgeous and confident but also unpretentious and not ostentatious, not at all alike with the girls in his school.

“You can leave.” Yao Yao tilted her head at him.

Huo Konghe felt that he should at least say something. “Then..if you…need anything, call me. Ah no, if I have time, I’ll…” Huo Konghe didn’t know how to say it, nor did he know how to look for Yao Yao or whether Yao Yao would look for him.”

“I will find you.” Yao Yao nodded, feeling his stammer cute, like a simple golden retriever. And so, she added, “If you miss me, you can also just look for me.”

At this, Huo Kong was rendered even more speechless. After opening the car door, he quickly got out, fleeing in defeat.

Yao Yao hunched over the steering wheel, laughing boisterously to the point tears trickled out. She then picked up her phone and accepted his friend request.

His profile picture was a photo of a blue sky. ‘Just like an old man.’ Yao Yao thought. She then went through his circle of friends and aside from sharing a couple of links about aviation events, he didn’t have much activity.

A knock suddenly resounded on the car window. Yao Yao furrowed her brows and rolled down the window, revealing a guy with a raised brow, looking at her with a curious gaze.

“Little sister, your car ain’t bad.” The man’s clothes were clearly branded with the logo of certain luxury brands. In his mouth was a cigarette. Lifting his chin to point at a car behind hers, he said. “Do you want to try out my ride? It’s one of the only three DB11 cars in City S.”

Yao Yao felt that if she were to compare him and Golden Retriever, he was way too greasy. He didn’t look anything like a university student at all. She gave him a small mocking smile and while the guy was stunned, she started the engine and said. “With only 3 cars, the other two are parked in my garage. What a coincidence.” It was true. She had ordered two at the time, one for herself, and one for her uncle. After she had said her piece, she stepped on the gas and sped off, not leaving him any chance to react at all.

Having eaten a loss, the man cursed and kicked his tire. The car’s alarm was then triggered, attracting the attention of passersby.

“F*cking sl*t. You could tell she’s a sugar baby.” The man bellowed and stepped on the gas, speeding to school.

Huo Konghe, who returned to the dormitory to get his books, realized that his friend Old Hei was also there. Old Hei was his best bro. There were six people in total, sharing a dorm room. Two of them were rich second gens, often unable to stand seeing Huo Konghe’s poor and pitiful appearance, yet girls always seem to fall for him, making the two seethe red with anger. As such, they often spoke negatively of him openly and behind his back. The other two were international students who shared good relations with Huo Konghe. Huo Konghe usually studied together with them.

Old Hei knew about his father’s illness. Upon seeing him return, he asked in concern. “Did you go to your part-time job or the hospital? You didn’t come back at all in the night.”

Huo Konghe paused. He couldn’t tell Old Hei that he had spent the night at Yao Yao’s home and was now even being sponsored. After quickly contemplating his options, he responded. “I went for tutoring. The kid’s about to have his high school exams so I tutored him until late and slept at his place.” He was certainly in the vicinity of the kid’s place so he wasn’t lying at all…

Old Hei patted his shoulder and said. “Don’t tire yourself out too much. We still have an exam tonight. Quickly pack up your stuff and let’s head to the library.” Old Hei sniffed, feeling confused as to why it seemed as if he had brought in the scent of a girl’s perfume. “Why do you have the scent of perfume on you?”

Huo Konghe suddenly recalled the perfume Yao Yao sprayed in the car. Some of it must’ve gotten onto him. “It was probably the mistress of the household.” Huo Konghe quickly packed his stuff and changed the topic. “Let’s go. Do you remember the materials?”

Old Hei’s face quickly scrunched up and he pulled Huo Konghe ahead, telling him about how he burned the midnight oil last night.

On the other side of the city, Yao Yao called Jia Jia out, waiting at a café and stirring her coffee. She took out her phone and looked at the message Jia Jia had sent 40 minutes ago. “I’ve left home.” it read. And she knew that Jia Jia definitely hadn’t left home at that time.

Scrolling through her phone, she then arrived at her chat window with Huo Konghe. Yao Yao thought for a moment and changed his nickname to “Golden Retriever”. She certainly did say she would sponsor him. If it were any other person, they would’ve already sent her several suggestive messages, hinting that they wanted money. Yet Huo Konghe didn’t send her a single message even after a few hours had elapsed.

Yao Yao pursed his lips. What the heck. Didn’t he know how to give his sponsor attention?

Unable to contain her anger, Yao Yao sent a ‘glaring bear’ emoji.

Two three minutes had passed but the emoji remained alone. Yao Yao locked her screen and threw her phone on the table.

“Slow-witted stump.” Yao Yao mumbled to herself.

“Who made our President Yao angry?” Jia Jia’s heels clacked as she walked towards Yao Yao, catching her throwing her phone from far away.

“Let me tell you something but promise not to spread it.” Yao Yao pushed a small piece of cake towards her and started narrating the events that happened yesterday.
