  • The Villainess Won’t Let The Main Leads Break Up!

    Chapter 41.2

Immediately afterwards, the huge force pulled her, as if it were to pull her soul out of her body little by little.

Ji Feichen had a somber expression, and even his hand holding onto his sword was trembling. He raised his gaze, eyes ice-cold for the first time, looking straight in the direction of Cultivator He. He then bit his teeth, raised his sword and went towards that direction.

The system’s alarm sounded repeatedly in Shen Wanqing’s head, it was sharp and harsh.

Shen Wanqing couldn’t move, only her fingertips could just barely make some movement.

She clenched her fists tightly, her internal power surging in her inner organs and through the meridians to her fingertips. Her eyes were tightly closed, her eyelashes trembling slightly, as if she wanted to break through the shackles of the Immobilization Talisman.

But she kept feeling the barrier constraining her, and if she tried to break through it, she would feel a pain that seemed to be able to tear apart her whole body.

It was so painful that she could not help but retreat and restrain her spiritual power.

“You want to save her that badly?” It was Xie Wuyan’s voice.

If Xie Wuyan were to be exposed in front of Feng Yaoqing, or even worse, the disciple of the Heavenly Dao Palace, they would definitely try to kill Xie Wuyan before he could fully recover.

    No.

Shen Wanqing wanted to stop him, but her body couldn’t move.

Spiritual power rampaged in the body.

As soon as she gritted her teeth, and simply did not care about the pain, she was able to completely break through the barrier.

    Pain.

It was as if her whole body was going to burst open in pain.

The talisman was knocked off and fell to the ground.

Before she could even cry out in pain, Shen Wanqing stretched out her hand and held onto Xie Wuyan’s arm, her voice trembling: “Don’t.”

Xie Wuyan turned his head, revealing an appalled expression: “You…”

In the next second, Shen Wanqing’s body went limp and she fell forward.

Xie Wuyan reached out to catch her and scooped her into his arms.

Shen Wanqing put her head on his shoulder, her voice a little weak: “Why are you so dumb, you always use methods that lead to your own death.”

Xie Wuyan clasped her back tightly, his eyes darkening: “What are you doing?”

“Let me state this first, even though you always come and take up the space in my room despite having your own bed, even though you have a bad temper and you always threaten me, even though you read my precious collections of novels making me embarrassed to keep reading them, and even though you eat my little bunny-shaped buns, saying they taste bad and won’t let me eat them…”

Shen Wanqing let out a sigh to take a breath, then raised her head and began her lecture of the day: “Apart from these, you are actually a pretty good person, so I don’t really want you to be caught and taken away. So can you take care of yourself a little, you will be easily exposed, you know? That is very unprofessional, even someone from the Ji family like me is better at being sneaky than you.”

After babbling a bunch of her opinions, Shen Wanqing drooped her head and went back into her soulless state, continuing to look like she was seriously injured.

Along the way, she even announced her own testimonial as a patient: “Ah, it hurts.”

    “…?”

Xie Wuyan’s eyes couldn’t sink any lower, and he became speechless in an instant.

    He only had one question.

Why did Shen Wanqing have a mouth?

But Shen Wanqing didn’t forget the important business.

The soul of Feng Yaoqing had almost separated from the body. Ji Feichen was fighting intensely with Cultivator He, and Xie Wuyan was hugging herself (?) as if he was patting his cat’s fur.

If she destroyed the jade pendant, then those living souls would scatter and disappear.

If she didn’t destroy the jade pendant, then Feng Yaoqing would die.

It was indeed a difficult choice.

Shen Wanqing thought for a good half a second, made a difficult choice, and decided to destroy the jade pendant.

With her current cultivation, even if she didn’t have a sharp blade, she could gather the surrounding air to form a sharp airflow.

In just an instant, she cut open her arm.

Xie Wuyan’s eyes turned cold, and he called out her name: “Shen Wanqing!”

    “I’m fine.”

There was some cold sweat perspiring on Shen Wanqing’s forehead, she closed her eyes: “I know how to control it.”

Her comprehension ability had always been okay.

Especially on that night in the Xuantian Sect, Xie Wuyan had taught her how to guide this power.

    To learn to dominate.

    Rather than being dominated.

Thinking of this power as an ever-extending vine, all branches and directions, and even the blood-colored flowers blooming on the vine, were within her control.

It should not be an ability that is above oneself, but a part of one’s own body.

    Shen Wanqing found the trick.

This time, she really didn’t get out of control like the previous two times.

    However.

    It was still painful huhuhu.

Xie Wuyan seemed to detect her pain.

He lowered his eyes, stretched out his hand to hold her arm and calmly passed through a little of his own spiritual power, guiding the power along her veins.

The blood splattered and tore into a streak of blood light, which went straight towards the jade pendant on Cultivator He’s waist. It was all done within an instant, not giving anyone time to react.

Cultivator He’s pupils shrank: “This is… the Blood Burning Technique?”

He retreated quickly, but couldn’t dodge it: “No, no!”

    “Boom!”

The red light collided and the spiritual power fluctuated violently, forcing the soul of Feng Yaoqing to be slammed back into the body.

When the blow was about to kill Cultivator He, the jade pendant suddenly gave birth to a strong light, trembled twice, and then in a split second, a light green figure floated out of it, forcibly blocking the blow.

The Soul Locking Jade glowed white, flickering and floating in the air.

The light green phantom gradually became clear, and long black hair rippled alongside the robe.

    It was a woman.

A woman who looked somewhat similar to Xu Ziyin.

Her whole face was written with a gentleness, even on such an occasion, she just quietly looked in the direction of Shen Wanqing, her gaze composed, but full of strength.

The black fog that had been gathering together suddenly dispersed into souls, and the red lines underneath their feet flickered again and again.

Shen Wanqing opened her eyes, suddenly halting her movements. The blood light gradually disappeared, and she became calm again.

The jade pendant was not broken.

Cultivator He was not dead either.

“Xiu Niang!” Cultivator He called out the name in disbelief, his voice a little hoarse.

Since Xiu Niang’s soul had entered the Soul Locking Jade, this was the first time she had appeared in front of him like this, alive.

Xiu Niang didn’t speak, just lowered her head and raised her hand.

She held a red causal thread in her hand.

Feng Yaoqing stood up, and Ji Feichen hurried to help her up, holding her in his arms.

“Wait,” Cultivator He’s eyes were red as he struggled to grab the threads, “Don’t! Don’t let go…”

Xiu Niang smiled at Shen Wanqing, and then loosened her hand. The threads immediately spread out, falling out of her hands, and then blew into the air like ash.

Shen Wanqing stood up straight and looked at Xiu Niang.

Xiu Niang opened her mouth, seeming to have said something, but no one heard any sound.

In the next second, she respectfully bowed to Shen Wanqing, and then the outline of her figure gradually became fainter and fainter.

She turned her head, looked at Cultivator He, and then squinted her eyes.

She smiled softly like the first time he had seen her many years ago.

    Then, she disappeared completely.

Cultivator He was holding onto the Soul Locking Jade, this tall man was crying like a mess.

“She chose this herself.” Shen Wanqing said, “I heard her voice when my blood touched the Soul Locking Jade.”

Cultivator He raised his head, his eyes were bloodshot, he just stared at Shen Wanqing, waiting for her next words.

    “She said: Let me go.”

Shen Wanqing: “She was willing to cut those causal threads with her own hands to give the dead souls a chance to reincarnate…”

Cultivator He: “You’re lying to me.”

“I haven’t finished speaking yet.” Shen Wanqing glanced at him and said lightly, “Also, to give you a chance to live.”

This sentence seemed to have completely hit Cultivator He’s weak spot. He went sluggish on the spot for a while, then knelt down, his head on the ground, crying as he collapsed.

Shen Wanqing paused for a while, but chose to continue, “He Xiangsheng, you wanted her to live, but you never asked her if she wanted to live like this.”

Cultivator He moved, raised his head with difficulty, and looked at her.

But this time, he spoke before Shen Wanqing, his voice hoarse: “That’s the Blood Burning Technique, right?”

As soon as these words came out, Xie Wuyan’s eyes froze, and he pulled Shen Wanqing behind him.

Ji Feichen got up immediately, the Flying Spirit Sword coming out of its sheath, placed against Cultivator He’s throat: “What do you want to do?”

Cultivator He did not react at all, he took out a blood crane from his pouch.

In the next second, it turned into ashes in an instant.

Cultivator He: “Don’t worry, I’m no longer from the Heavenly Dao Palace. I just didn’t expect that you were the fish that had slipped through the net when the Heavenly Dao Palace had rushed out to capture you.”

Shen Wanqing was startled: “The fish that had slipped through the net?”

“Yes, that’s why I appeared on that mountain half-dead on that snowy night more than ten years ago.” Cultivator He looked at Shen Wanqing and said slowly, “Miss Shen, because of your mother.”

    This sentence made everyone stunned.

Ji Feichen: “What did you say? Wanqing’s mother? Then she’s—”

    “Dead.”

Cultivator He seemed to be telling a story that had nothing to do with him: “She was forced to death. She pierced her own heart as ignition, burned herself to ashes inside and out, leaving nothing behind. That was the most powerful Blood Burning Technique I had ever seen in my life.”

The author has something to say: Shen Wanqing’s ability: she will automatically return to full health when she is nagging, but her health bar will decrease automatically once she’s done nagging

Xie Wuyan: There is absolutely no chance for me to be moved.

She truly cares for Xie Wuyan. This should be enough for Feng Yaoqing to free herself from the original selfless protagonist.

I like that in the end the souls in the jade will most likely be able to reincarnate now 😊 Also I’m glad she choose to help but not in a way that would make Xie Wuyan come to harm. This is why I love her character so much and why she’s so different from other main characters. The type of characters I hate the most are those who try to help and when they fail, end up making others get hurt in the process, either by hurting themselves to help or getting injured in some way trying to help them.

Yes <3 I’m also glad the ending was good for the innocent souls and yes, Shen Wanqing is a strong character within her own right despite not seeming that way on the surface in how she makes decisions in moments of chaos! Thanks for reading~
