Undesirable Marriage

Afterword ✿

Hello everyone, this is Ji Keqiang. Thank you for reading my work.

I love doctors, but I also love ideals.

I have a fetish for doctors. A friend once asked me what kind of man I wanted to marry and I said that a doctor would be a good choice.

I like doctors who are good, who are passionate, have ideals and who would give everything to save the world. (Of course, I know that not all doctors are so dedicated, but I believe there are still many wonderful doctors.)

During the operation, doctors can’t have a family in their minds, only their patient. We don’t want them to be distracted over their own families and delay the treatment of our lives.

But in fact, they are also human beings, and they also have relatives and families who must be protected.

So sometimes, they are likely to struggle between ideals and reality, and it is difficult to balance both.

A few days ago, I read a piece of news in the newspaper. An elderly couple committed suicide together due to mental illness. Their son, who was a doctor, was notified, but he couldn’t rush to the scene. He could only hold back his tears and continue to operate on the patient.

This is the dilemma of doctors, but also their greatness.

Dai Xingren in this book is my ideal doctor. If I were Mo Chuan Ya, I would definitely support his ideal.

Although I am not sure whether I can be as strong as her, I think that as long as there is love, we will always have the courage to try to overcome difficulties. (Long live true love!)

Recently, due to GERD [ED/N:Gastric Reflux Disease], I often have to go to Tamsui Mackay Hospital. In addition to thanking the young doctor who treats me, (note, he looks good and cute, hehe) I also would like to thank the new building of Mackay Hospital for giving me inspiration.

The “He’en Hospital” in the story was inspired by the architectural design of the Mackay New Building, which includes an open and high glass hall, a glass corridor with good natural light illumination and a shopping section on the first floor.

Next time, if you have the opportunity to visit the Tamsui Mackay Hospital (note, that it is a visit, not due to your own illness) you should take a walk in the new building. Maybe you will meet Dai Xingren and Mo Chuan Ya by chance!

Dear friends, please wish me a good time! I will also sincerely wish you all… a happy work and class! (Oh, hehe, I know I’m very humble!)

[ED/n: Hello everyone, here is your Editor, TsumiHokiro. Thanks for reading it so far. By the time you read this, I’ll probably have edited this a long time ago. I haven’t yet finished editing the series but I decided to work here anyway. Thank you very much for reading Mily’s translation. It was my first time doing fan editing, and I enjoyed very much working alongside her.

As for the series, all I have to say is that I have been through the same cardiac procedement and I have a doctor in the family. I can’t say I relate so much to these events… better not say much more… they were too much of a fantasy. As for the couple… I do not yet know what happened to them! Do let me know when you read this though. I’ll already probably know by then but, I’ll let you know, I hate how they go round-and-round without ever finding their way through. I don’t see them talking about anything, just what-may-bes… I really wish they were more romantic and less dramatic with each other anyway. I’m on chapter 9.1 right now so, who knows, things might change (I’m just deluding myself anyway.)

Bye and over. Mily will probably delete this anyway…

P.S: And I’m back after 6 weeks. What a ride that was. Did you have fun these last few weeks? If you did, I’m glad my tears of blood were not in vain.

To me it all went downhill after the chapter of their separation,  but maybe that’s just me. Having stayed till the end is what matters.]

Translator’s note: Thank you everyone who stayed till the end and enjoyed this story along with me. Thanks to my editor for wonderful job and making this whole translation process more worthwhile.

I would like to invite all my readers to visit my profile and check out my other works on the site, maybe you will find your next amazing read 😉 see y’all 👋❤️
