If we were to dash in, we would just be sacrificing ourselves in vain!”
Shao Rong was so worried, she was close to tears. “Gege….”
No one tried to block Liu Shu. They had seen that there were only two people, so another three people came forward. They didn’t bother to speak to them, just pushed them away saying, “Go away! Scram!”
Shao Huai was so angry he was shaking. Because of their shoves, he couldn’t even stabilise himself. In a rage, he headbutted one of them! The other person saw him move and immediately dodged. Shao Huai fell over in his charge. Then he picked himself back and up and rushed toward the pond!
There were still a few people at the pond. The ones behind saw him run there and quickly chased him, waving their fists, “We told you to scram! You should leave!”
“Who are you people! Why are you destroying my flowers?!” Shao Huai rushed forward and shouted at them.
“Is this pond yours? Who allowed you to plant flowers in it? Does your family own this land?” A well dressed person suddenly stood out and coldly asked. He stood with his hands behind his back unmoving.
Shao Huai had rushed over, and the pack of people had followed behind him. Liu Shu had also joined him. Shao Huai’s voice was shaking. Looking at all his ruined flowers, he was speechless. He was in no state to reason with these people!
Liu Shu came forward to say, “Then who are you? Is this pond yours? Or is the surrounding land yours? If it is not, then why are you behaving so dictatorially, and destroying their flowers?”

‘Pa’, the sound of the whip rang out, causing the poor donkey to jump and race forward. On the cart, Liu Xu’er and Shao Rong tumbled backwards, and were rocked about mercilessly.
Thankfully the cart rails blocked them from falling completely off. Liu Xu’er climbed up and looked behind – those people were still chasing them! Panicked, she started to rush the donkey with the whip, all while looking around the cart for something to throw at them!
The area they were at wasn’t too far from the village. Before they had traveled for too long, they had already met up with some fellow villagers. Shao Rong cried out when she saw them. “Third Uncle Zhou! My ge is fighting with some people at the pond! I don’t know where these people came from, but they were destroying our flowers. They’re beating up my ge. Third Uncle Zhou, you need to help…..”
The person was a fortyish-year-old man. The instant he heard, he immediately responded, “What? Don’t panic. We need to look for help!” Then he raced back toward the village.
Seeing his response, Liu Xu’er continued to drive the cart forward. Along the way, they met up with a few different people. The instant they heard, they quickly joined up to help go over. There seemed to be quite a few people at the pond; one was even holding onto Shao Huai and pressing his head underwater. Liu Shu had rushed over and grabbed hold of his hair. Then he gave the person a good punch in his face. The instant the person fell, Liu Shu hurriedly helped Shao Huai over to a less crowded area, while getting chased by the few in the water. On land, quite a few people were circling them!
One of the more hotblooded youths on the cart had already jumped off the cart! Rushing over, he shouted, “How dare you bully our Niangou villagers! You don’t want your lives?!”
With this person’s impulsive action, it galvanized all the rest on the cart. And when they saw how these people had circled Shao Huai in the pond, with every indication they were planning to beat him up, they were all furious! As one, they rushed over like a nest of angry hornets!
Now that there were more people, Liu Xu’er got off the cart and rushed forward a couple of steps before stopping again. It was a mess! The opposing group still wanted to fight! Although there were fewer Niangou villagers there, they were all youths. Now that they were maddened, they didn’t care how many opponents they faced, they just rushed over to give them a beating!
Shao Rong was slightly ahead of Liu Xu’er. She too was standing still. She didn’t dare to go ahead either!

Seeing that there were fewer people there, Liu Xu’er pulled Shao Rong and headed toward Liu Shu and Shao Huai’s side. The two of them went to their respective brothers to look them over.
