The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System: BingJiu

The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System: BingJiu (Oneshot)

Translator’s Note

This is only a translated fanfiction. This is neither a canon nor an extra.

The dungeon was cold and dull, and there was a musty smell in the air. The man in the dungeon hung in the air with a ring around his waist. The places where there were supposed to be limbs were empty, and his torn clothes had long been stained with blood.

A body of blood and wounds; the new and the old injuries were overlapping.

A hungry gray mouse was licking the pool of blackened blood on the ground below.

All of a sudden, a formidable aura assaulted their senses, making the gray mouse run away in fear.

“Shizun.” Luo Binghe called out, his tone full of provocations, but Shen Qingqiu still hung his head and didn’t move. In normal times, Shen Qingqiu would gnash his teeth and scold him, calling him a “beast.” It’s unusual for him to be silent.

Luo Binghe suddenly felt his heart beating fiercely. What was he afraid of?

Wasn’t it better for him to die?

Finally died, but Luo Binghe still did not let Shen Jiu go, and the methods of torture he used became more and more vicious.

Whenever he came back from the dead, he was tortured in different, painful ways— the shortest he lived was two days and the longest was seven days.

Hell was nothing compared to that.

Shen Qingqiu felt that he was going crazy.

No one could save him, so he tried his best to take the initiative to find death.

Shen Jiu leaned against the wall of the dungeon, breathing carefully— because even heavy breathing would cause his wounds to hurt.

Even if his limbs had been reattached, for She Jiu, it only increased his pain.

Looking emptily in a corner, a bright red scorpion appeared in Shen Jiu’s sight. With the appearance of the poisonous scorpion, Shen Jiu suddenly came back from muddlement, and then laughed softly.

Shen Jiu was stung by this scorpion. It was obvious that he did it on purpose.

He once read the record of this poisonous insect. Once poisoned, the stung person’s seven orifices would bleed within an hour and suddenly die.

Don’t think that snapping his feet or breaking his hands were the only ways to kill him, and that he won’t find death himself.

This torment used up Shen Jiu’s strength. The wounds that were not easy to heal broke open again. So what? He was about to die anyway.

After Luo Binghe had dealt with his business affairs, he was originally going to the harem to find his new beauty. However, he unconsciously turned a corner and when he recovered, he found himself standing in front of Shen Qingqiu.

“Qi-ge1[Ge translates to older brother.], you have finally come to find Xiao Jiu. Xiao Jiu is very happy.” Shen Jiu grabbed the corner of Luo Binghe’s clothes, raised his head, and smiled.

Initially, when Luo Binghe saw that the corner of his clothes got soiled, he wanted to give Shen Qingqiu a kick, but he was stunned when he saw Shen Qingqiu’s smile.

From the first time he met Shen Qingqiu until now, this was the first time he saw him smile.

In the end, were you going to fight back?

Luo Binghe crouched down, grasped Shen Jiu’s neck, squinted his eyes, and said in a dangerous tone, “Shen Qingqiu, what tricks are you doing?”

But Shen Jiu couldn’t feel it at all. He was completely immersed in this beautiful illusion.

The poison could make people feel more spirited than usual, then hallucinate, and finally, die.

It’s a very comfortable way to die.

Shen Jiu’s vision was suddenly covered with a layer of blood, and his ears were buzzing.

Luo Binghe looked at Shen Qingqiu’s eyes shedding blood tears. He then vomited a mouthful of filthy black blood.

Maybe it was the blood that interrupted the illusion. After seeing the person in front of him, Shen Qingqiu frowned. He then thought of something and smiled.

“Farewell, little beast.”

Luo Binghe was called back to reality by his address of “little beast.” However, Shen Jiu had already lost his breath.

“Don’t think you can die just like that.” Luo Binghe didn’t notice that his hand was slightly trembling.

It might be because of the Soul Summoning Array that made him confident, or something else, even Luo Binghe himself didn’t know.

Luo Binghe didn’t know that Shen Jiu’s soul had become very fragile due to his soul being summoned time and time again.

After repeated inhuman tortures and deaths, Shen Jiu’s consciousness gradually disappeared. This time, only a little bit of consciousness was left, and he merely left a short sentence.

It’s great to die, and he would not feel pain.

It took some effort to summon his soul this time. This would be the last time that Shen Jiu could be resurrected. Nonetheless, Luo Binghe knew nothing about it.

Perhaps Luo Binghe thought the dungeon was too dirty and stinky. Shen Jiu was arranged in the deserted Cold Palace.

“Isn’t this Shen-xianzun?2[仙尊 means Respectable Immortal Elder.] How does it feel to be a beast yourself?” The person was proud and wore gorgeous clothes. She was one of Luo Binghe’s three thousand harem members.

Shen Jiu was lying on the ground; his limbs were almost frozen to numbness. Not only was he unable to resist, but he was also even worse than an ordinary mortal.

Shen Qingqiu was in a mess but he didn’t respond to her provocations. He behaved similarly to a dead person.

Luo Binghe allowed her to play at will, but if the person had no response, it was not fun at all.

Suddenly, Shen Jiu rushed towards her like mad. Without any precaution, she fell to the ground and her hair went loose.

The exquisite clothes were stained with some blood and she immediately lost her temper. She got up and fiercely kicked Shen Jiu and went to complain to her good husband.

Shen Jiu didn’t seem to feel any pain at all. He crawled to the corner with some effort and picked up the fallen hairpin. A smile graced his lips.

There was heavy snow outside but there was not even a single pot of carbon fire in the Cold Palace. Shen Jiu was only wearing his thin inner garment.

Shen Jiu slowly moved and leaned against the wall. It seemed that he couldn’t wait to point the hairpin at his heart. Although his hands were cold and numb, and it was difficult to hold, he still tightly held it.

“Husband, you have to punish him and give me justice!”

“Get out! Don’t stand in my way!” He was obviously the same person, why did he meet such a good Shen Qingqiu while he…

Luo Binghe thought of this, his fist clenching more tightly. As if to confirm something, Luo Binghe’s footsteps quickened.

“Shen Qingqiu!” As soon as Luo Binghe entered the door, he saw this scene, and his eyes instantly turned bloodshot.

As if he heard someone calling him, Shen Jiu subconsciously turned his head, but his actions did not stop at all.

With all the remaining strength he had, blood splashed all over the floor.

The hairpin penetrated his chest, ruthlessly and with no sentimentality at all, and it was even nailed into the wall.

It was not the first time that Shen Qingqiu’s blood got on his hands, but why was he so flustered in his heart? Luo Binghe didn’t understand.

He infused spiritual power and tried his best. However, the person in his arms gradually became cold. There was nothing he could do.

“Fine! You dared to commit suicide. When I call your soul back, I will make your life worse than death!” He said threateningly. In fact, he was just comforting himself.

When the Soul Summoning Array was again activated, there was no movement or response at all.

What’s going on? Why couldn’t he call him back?

Luo Binghe didn’t give up. There must be something wrong with the drawing of the Soul Summoning Array.

Once or twice, more than ten days had passed, and it was still the same.

This last suicide was the last straw that crushed the camel — that was, the soul shattered.

“He’s already dead, and it’s useless to keep the corpse. Let’s bury it.” Mobei-jun told the truth that Luo Binghe never dared to admit.

Dead? How could it be? Shen Qingqiu had always cherished his life, how could he be dead?

Luo Binghe muttered to himself, constantly hypnotizing himself.

Four years had passed. Did Luo Binghe give up? No.

He found a way, but this method almost took Luo Binghe’s life.

“He’s gone. Is it worth it for you to waste half of your life?” Mobei-jun coldly advised.

It’s worth it, Luo Binghe said in his heart.

As long as Shizun could return, he could afford to pay any price, even if there was only a little bit of hope.

Luo Binghe did not realize when the incomparable resentment started to be replaced by madness.

The spell started, but until the end, there was still no sign of movement.

His last hope disappeared.

Mobei-jun heard the low cries coming from the hall. He sighed and turned to leave.

He didn’t know how long it took. The candles were extinguished and the palace was completely dark. Luo Binghe perceived a weak light— it was too faint that even a firefly was brighter than it.

Luo Binghe successfully called back Shen Jiu, but his soul was already shattered.

On this day, the man who was lying this entire time in the ice coffin regained his breathing. Luo Binghe wept with joy that he forgot his own lovelorn appearance.

When Luo Binghe saw Shen Jiu waking up, his tears fell even more fiercely, and he carefully called Shizun repeatedly, as if he wouldn’t get tired no matter how many times he called.

However, Shen Jiu didn’t speak at all, foolishly staying still like a wooden person.

“Shizun, please, say something.”

“Shizun, I was wrong. Binghe knew that I was wrong. Please, don’t be like this.”

His pleading was like a stone thrown into the sea, sinking and useless.

After a few days, a piece of news was spread all over the world: Luo Binghe actually dismissed his three thousand harem beauties and married a dumb beauty who could not even cry, smile, or speak, wanting this person to be his lifetime cultivation partner.

There were different opinions on what exactly Luo Binghe was crazy about, but no one could clearly tell what exactly happened.

Only Luo Binghe knew that he finally understood what he wanted in his heart, but after all, it was too late, and he couldn’t make it up in this life.

Translator’s Note

I would recommend reading two other official extras that were used as the basis of this one-shot fan fiction, however, due to SVSSS getting its official English translation, the fan translations were taken down. Fortunately, Nao Otosaka made a review and summary as to why Bing-ge acted that way.
