I’ll Share The Bed With You.

Chapter 75: I Want You

The first rays of morning sunlight slanted through the window frame, moving slowly like a creeping insect, inching its way onto Lin Chuan’s closed eyes.

He was still deep in sleep. His eyeliner-like eyes were long and slender, the corners slightly upturned. His thin eyelids were slightly convex, and his thick eyelashes appeared almost translucent under the morning light.

His sleeping posture was disciplined—hands resting behind his head, his long legs crossed. The sofa was too short for his 1.85-meter frame, so his feet extended past the edge.

A feather lightly brushed against the bridge of his tall nose. He instinctively rubbed it, his drowsiness fading as he slowly opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was a woman’s loose-fitting sleepwear. Her collarbones were distinct and seductive, and a silver cross hung around her neck, glistening under the sunlight.

Lin Chuan’s mind went blank, and he abruptly sat up.

Ming Jin was sitting beside him, hugging her knees. Her slender fingers twirled a down feather, tracing it lightly over his firm chest.

Lin Chuan instinctively shielded himself with his hands.

Lin Chuan immediately sprang up and dashed into the bathroom. As he rushed past Ming Jin, he stirred the air, leaving behind a trace of his masculine scent.

“Why didn’t you wake me up earlier? We only have an hour—it’s not enough time.”

He turned on the faucet and doused himself with water—washing both his face and hair in one go.

Ming Jin leaned lazily against the doorframe, watching him. “I woke up late too.”

Lin Chuan quickly dried his hair with a towel, then vigorously brushed his teeth. “If we hurry, we should still make it.”

When he turned around, he saw Ming Jin standing at the doorway. Her silky nightgown draped like a curtain over her long, fair legs.

“Aren’t you going to change? We’re going to miss the train.” Lin Chuan reminded her.

“I need to shower first.” Ming Jin replied. “So, get out.”

“There’s no time! Just go as you are.”

“No way! I can’t stand feeling grimy all day.”

As Lin Chuan passed by her, he took a deep breath.

Not only was she not grimy—she smelled great.

Without another word, he pushed her out of the bathroom and straight into her bedroom.

“Hey, hey—”

“Hurry up and change.”

After shutting the bedroom door behind her, Lin Chuan turned his attention to the overstuffed suitcase on the floor.

It looked like a child who had overeaten—clothes were spilling out everywhere, and the zipper refused to close.

Lin Chuan had no choice but to take everything out and carefully repack it.

Under his methodical folding and arrangement, the suitcase not only fit all her clothes, but also had extra space left.

When Ming Jin emerged and saw the neatly packed suitcase, she exclaimed in surprise, “Wow, Brother Lu, you’ve got skills!”

“Efficient use of space and optimal organization—it’s all about making the most of what you have.”

Lin Chuan enjoyed the admiration in her eyes, feeling a little warm in the ears. “Do you have anything else to bring?”

“Yes, yes!” Ming Jin hurriedly grabbed a few bottles of toner and lotion. Dangling from her fingertips were two C-cup bras.

Awkwardly, she realized that while the lotion fit in the suitcase, the bras—being delicate—couldn’t be squeezed in.

“Oh no, there’s no room left.”

Lin Chuan glanced at the two bras—one black, sheer lace; the other soft pink with delicate floral embroidery.

His heartbeat quickened.

He grabbed his sports backpack and stammered, “Uh… I can put them in here. There’s space.”

“Great!” Ming Jin happily stuffed them inside.

Lin Chuan sighed. With slightly trembling hands, he carefully adjusted the bras. “They’ll get misshapen. I need to fold them properly.”

“Oh.”

The fabric was unbelievably soft and smooth.

His calloused fingers brushed against the delicate material, treating it with utmost reverence, handling them with meticulous care.

Ming Jin watched his reddening ears and found this “little brother” absolutely adorable.

By the time they finished packing, it was already 8:00 AM. Getting to the train station in thirty minutes during rush hour would be a real test of Lin Chuan’s driving skills.

Having chauffeured Shang Jie for years, he had encountered all kinds of urgent situations. Familiar with the city’s layout, he took a ring road expressway and reached the train station in just twenty minutes.

After parking, he hoisted Ming Jin’s suitcase and sprinted toward the ticket hall, while she trailed behind at a leisurely pace.

Lin Chuan stopped a few times to wait for her but, running out of time, eventually grabbed her wrist and pulled her along.

They made it onto the train in the final minutes.

After settling into their soft sleeper compartment, both of them were panting.

Ming Jin’s hometown was in a nearby county without high-speed rail. They had to take a slower K-train, which would take an entire day and night.

She had booked soft sleeper tickets, but since there weren’t many passengers, they had a four-bunk compartment all to themselves.

Ming Jin chose the upper bunk, so Lin Chuan took the lower one beneath hers.

Once seated, he pulled out his phone and called Shang Jie to report his departure.

“We’re on the train.”

“…I’ve assigned everything to Xiao Zhou. There shouldn’t be any issues.”

“I’ll be careful. You too, Boss. Don’t forget to drink four glasses of water every day. And also, Xiao Zhou is nearsighted—don’t let her drive. Get someone else.”

“Don’t forget your afternoon meeting with President Li.”

After hanging up, he noticed Ming Jin watching him with an amused expression.

“What?”

“Lin Chuan, if Shang Jie weren’t married, I’d suspect you were his little lover.”

Lin Chuan, who blushed easily, cleared his throat. “Don’t joke. I’ve taken care of the boss since I was young—it’s my job.”

“So, you’re his nanny?”

“I’m his assistant. That includes managing his daily needs.”

Ming Jin nodded. “No wonder you’re so meticulous—even down to folding clothes.”

Lin Chuan wanted to say that he knew how to cook, brew tea, do housework, fix appliances, and even peel crayfish like a pro.

But that sounded too much like bragging—not very reserved.

So, he kept quiet.

At noon, he went to the dining car and bought two overpriced meal sets, stir-fried dishes from a private kitchen, costing him two red bills. The taste was just barely acceptable.

He and Ming Jin sat at a small table eating. From time to time, he would glance at her. She ate delicately, taking small bites, making even a simple boxed meal look refined.

Her long hair fell gently, tucked behind her ear, giving her a fresh and capable appearance.

“Do I look good while eating?”

She didn’t look up but suddenly asked.

Caught staring, Lin Chuan quickly lowered his head and focused on his food.

Ming Jin chuckled. Noticing that his bowl had only white rice left, she transferred all the pork belly from her own bowl into his. “Fatty meat—help me eat it, so it doesn’t go to waste.”

“Okay.”

For some reason, the meat that had passed through her bowl tasted even more fragrant.

In the afternoon, the two played some mobile games, and in the evening, they watched a movie together, passing the boring train ride.

Most of the train’s lights had been turned off, leaving only a dim white light in the corridor.

Before long, drowsiness crept in. Ming Jin yawned and said, “I should go up to sleep. We arrive at five in the morning—don’t oversleep and miss the stop.”

“I set an alarm this time. You can sleep peacefully.”

She took off her high heels, revealing a pair of fair feet, and stepped onto the railing. Unexpectedly, she slipped.

Lin Chuan reacted quickly, grabbing her and catching her in his arms.

Ming Jin turned back in surprise, meeting his face.

In the darkness, their breaths intertwined—one hurried, one uneven.

Lin Chuan said, “Don’t sleep on the top bunk. What if you fall off in the middle of the night?”

“That won’t happen.”

Ming Jin felt her face heat up. She had seen so much of the world, yet somehow, this younger man made her heart race.

Lin Chuan didn’t let go. His arms wrapped tightly around her waist. In the cramped space, their posture was undeniably intimate.

“Lin Chuan, how long are you going to hold me like this?”

Her husky voice ignited the fire inside him.

Lin Chuan’s mind went blank. He turned and placed her on his bed. Without a word, he leaned in and kissed her lips.

In the darkness, he couldn’t see clearly. He missed her lips and kissed her nose instead. He moved downward, finally finding the soft warmth, biting down and indulging. His desire as a man was fully ignited.

“I like you,” he said breathlessly. “Ever since that night, I’ve been thinking about you every day.”

Ming Jin gripped his firm shirt collar tightly. It was hard to imagine that this man—who always wore a stoic expression beside Shang Jie—could be so passionate and emotional.

And this flood of emotions was unleashed entirely upon her.

She whispered in his ear, “Are you thinking about a woman, or are you thinking about me?”

“You. I’m thinking about what you did to me that night.”

“Got a taste and now you want more?”

“I really liked it.”

“Still want it?”

“I do.”

He had already grabbed her slender wrist and said in a deep voice, “I’ll treat you well for a lifetime.”

“Lu Lin Chuan.”

Ming Jin suddenly pushed him away. In the darkness, she gazed into his bright, crystal-clear eyes. “A man shouldn’t promise a lifetime so easily.”

Lin Chuan looked at her, puzzled.

“You don’t know me. You don’t understand my past, or what kind of person I am. Making a lifelong promise based on a surge of male impulse—that’s irresponsible, don’t you see?”

He understood. Of course, he understood—she was rejecting him.

“S-sorry.”

He let go of her and stood up, at a complete loss. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. I didn’t even confess properly, or date you, and I just… I’m such an idiot.”

His flustered awkwardness made Ming Jin feel a little sorry for him. She tugged on his hand. “Go to sleep.”

Lin Chuan sat down across from her bed, pulling his pant legs up. “You sleep on the bottom bunk. Don’t fall again.”

Ming Jin lay down comfortably.

Lin Chuan turned onto his side, watching her through the dim corridor light.

“Ming Jin.”

“Mm?” Her voice was hazy with sleep.

“I really like you.”

Ming Jin: ……

“I’ve never liked a woman like this before.”

He turned over, staring at the ceiling, hands folded over his stomach, muttering, “You’re like an angel.”

Ming Jin: ……

“I won’t be rude like earlier again,” Lin Chuan said sincerely. “Will you give me a chance to be with you?”

“Let’s talk about it tomorrow. I’m so sleepy.”

“I can cook, make tea, do housework, fix electrical appliances and lightbulbs, and I can even peel crayfish. I’d definitely be a great boyfriend.”

Ming Jin: ……
