I’ll Share The Bed With You.

Chapter 2: Extremely Dangerous

“Hello, my name is Shang Jie.”

As the man said this, he slightly tilted his umbrella, revealing a pair of captivating almond-shaped eyes that seemed calm but hinted at a lurking danger.1Wahh.. kinda imagining the umbrella scene in Goblin, the korean drama.

“Hello,” Jiang Xingxing replied warily, “Sir, do you need something?”

Unconsciously, Shang Jie’s ring finger under his left sleeve twitched, his sharp brows slightly raised as he glanced at Jiang Xingxing.

Jiang Xingxing, who was wearing a rabbit-themed nightgown, blinked her innocent and clear almond eyes.

“Do you remember me?”

Jiang Xingxing shook her head, confused.

Shang Jie held up a pharmacy bag with his right hand. “Yesterday, my car hit you, causing some scrapes on your hand. I came to bring you some medicine.”

Indeed, wealthy people seemed to radiate an aura that made them approachable and likable.

Without much hesitation, Jiang Xingxing let this stranger into her home, without considering whether it was appropriate. After all, they had only met once, and it was now 11:32 PM, with a light rain falling outside…

A rich person couldn’t be a bad person, right?2No!!!! Naive.

“Oh no, my instant noodles are still in the pot!”

Jiang Xingxing rushed to the kitchen, quickly poured the nearly dry noodles into a porcelain bowl, and placed it on the table.

Meanwhile, Shang Jie looked around her apartment. The place was small, about fifty square meters, with the bedroom and living room combined, along with a tiny bathroom and kitchen.

The vanity table was cluttered with various bottles and jars used by girls, and the shelves were piled with thick old books, all related to drama and performance.

A rose-colored nightlight cast a romantic glow over the room, with a beaded curtain shimmering faintly between the living room and bedroom.

With a guest in her home, Jiang Xingxing turned on all the lights, and the room instantly became bright and clear.

“To save electricity,” she explained with an embarrassed smile, “Please, have a seat, sir.”

Shang Jie sat down on the sofa, but something seemed to poke him. He reached down and pulled out a black lace bra.

Jiang Xingxing quickly grabbed it and stuffed it into her overflowing wardrobe. “Sorry… No one usually visits.”

“No problem.”

Jiang Xingxing’s cheeks flushed slightly, completely unaware that Shang Jie’s ring finger on his left hand was still unconsciously twitching rapidly.

“Sir, is there something you need from me?”

“Come here.”

“Hmm…”

Jiang Xingxing walked over to Shang Jie, but before she could react, he took her hand. Startled, she was about to pull back when she saw him flip her wrist over, revealing the band-aid underneath.

He peeled off the band-aid. The wound wasn’t bleeding, but faint scratches about the length of fingernails were still visible.

The man dipped a cotton swab in some ointment and carefully applied it to her wound.

“Hiss.”

A sharp pain stung, and Jiang Xingxing instinctively pulled her hand back, only for him to grip it even tighter. “Don’t move.”

His palm was warm, and the difference in body temperature made Jiang Xingxing acutely aware of his presence.

His brow furrowed slightly, and his thick, long eyelashes drooped down, covering his eyelids. His deep brown eyes focused intently on her wound as he applied the medicine.

“Every inch of a woman’s skin should be well protected.”

“Sir, I remember yesterday you didn’t say that. You said, ‘Every inch of an actor’s skin should be well protected,’ not ‘a woman’s.'”

The man let out a disdainful snort through his nose—

What does she know?

After applying the ointment, Jiang Xingxing pulled her hand back and awkwardly asked, “So, you came just to bring me medicine?”

A handsome Rolls-Royce owner personally delivering medicine—it was straight out of a domineering CEO romance novel.

But honestly, she’d prefer if he just gave her money instead.

The man denied it: “Of course not.”

Ugh, of course, good things never happen to her.

“Have you watched the news?”

“What news?” Jiang Xingxing asked, bewildered. “I was just practicing my lines and didn’t have time to watch TV.”

Shang Jie leaned casually against the edge of the sofa, his long legs stretched out relaxedly, as if he were in his own home.

Meanwhile, Jiang Xingxing quickly searched for information about Shang Jie on her phone.

Advertisements

The youngest heir of the Shang Group, ranked among the top ten in the world’s wealthiest, and the most desired man for women in Jiangcheng to marry…

In the photos on her phone, Mr. Shang, dressed in a suit, looked emotionless, exuding a cold and meticulous aura.

But the man in front of her had a playful glint in his eyes, tinged with a hint of mischief.

Though his demeanor seemed off, his appearance was identical—there was no doubt it was him.

“Yesterday, my older brother reported to the police that I was missing, and my personal doctor announced to the media that I have a mental illness and am extremely dangerous.”

As he spoke, Jiang Xingxing happened to scroll to the same news article.

Missing, split personality, extremely dangerous, sex addiction…

“In reality, today at the hospital, my brother and my personal doctor conspired to frame me. They want to trap me in a mental hospital so that my brother can become the rightful heir to the Shang Group.”

As she listened to his story, Jiang Xingxing began slurping her instant noodles.

What kind of dramatic rich-family power struggle was this?

“I escaped when they weren’t paying attention,” he said, crossing his long legs and speaking calmly. “Now, the police outside, along with my brother’s people, are all looking for me. If they take me back, I’ll be locked up, and I’ll stay locked up until I die.”

Jiang Xingxing sipped her hot soup, half-believing his story. “Mr. Shang, what can I do for you?”

“I need a place to hide, and…” he paused, his gaze sweeping over her, “a smart, trustworthy woman.”

Jiang Xingxing blinked, still not understanding why it had to be a woman and not a man.

Shang Jie spoke bluntly, “I need your help.”

Jiang Xingxing put down her soup bowl, her mind still foggy. “Are you saying… you want to hide here? But I don’t know you well. Don’t you have any other friends?”

“I can’t trust anyone right now. My former friends have likely been bought off by my brother, and besides, I have no friends.”

How pitiful.

Jiang Xingxing couldn’t help but think, even though she was dirt poor, at least she had a few good friends in the drama troupe who wouldn’t forget her if they ever struck it rich.

This world-class tycoon, brought low, couldn’t find a single person he could trust.

So, even those who stand at the pinnacle of the world must be lonely and isolated.

At that moment, this lonely king suddenly leaned closer to Jiang Xingxing, his handsome features magnifying as he drew near, causing her breath to catch for a couple of seconds.

Hmm, the words “extremely dangerous” from the news flashed through Jiang Xingxing’s mind!

This beautiful man… was too dangerous!

The man’s “dangerous” gaze lightly brushed across her face.

Jiang Xingxing inexplicably felt her heartbeat quicken, and her breathing became uneven.

“I don’t trust anyone, but I can see that you really need money. And I have a lot of money.”

“Uh…”

He hit her weak spot with pinpoint accuracy.

Jiang Xingxing was still hesitating when Shang Jie’s slender fingers suddenly brushed aside her bangs, revealing a crescent-shaped pink scar.

Jiang Xingxing looked up, not sure what he intended to do.

Shang Jie’s fingertips lightly swept across her crescent scar, and for the first time, his gaze was not just gentle—there seemed to be a hint of affection in his eyes.

“I can make you a star, at the end of all the spotlight, I can lift you up.”

The sound of water running came from the bathroom as the man took a shower. Jiang Xingxing carried her quilt to the sofa, spreading it out soft and loose.

She must be crazy, letting a stranger shower in her home and even letting him stay overnight!

Although he had indeed offered many tempting conditions, like giving her endless wealth and making her a star that everyone would admire, anything she wanted—he said he could give her.

But considering the situation, he couldn’t even protect himself right now; all his promises were just empty words.

Jiang Xingxing sat down, trying to calmly sort out her thoughts—

There were two possibilities: one, he was telling the truth, and his brother and personal doctor had conspired to frame him to take over the family fortune, which would make his situation extremely dangerous.

The second possibility was that Shang Jie was lying, and he really was a mentally ill patient with split personality and that sex addiction he mentioned. In that case, the one in danger right now should be her.

With this thought, Jiang Xingxing suddenly stood up, walked around her home, and found a stick she usually used as a prop in her plays. She cautiously moved to the bathroom door.

The bathroom door was made of frosted glass. The steam and water droplets clinging to it made the outline of the man’s figure faintly visible.

The man was humming some rural tune from who knows where.

Jiang Xingxing frowned slightly, feeling more and more uneasy. This man was flirty and frivolous, completely different from the cold and serious Shang Group president the media described!

Suddenly, the tune stopped abruptly in his mouth.

“If you keep peeking at me, I’ll open the door and let you see everything.”

His voice was deep, with an incredibly sexy magnetism.

Jiang Xingxing quickly stepped back, almost forgetting that with the frosted glass door, if she could see his shadow, he could also see her crouching by the door.

Ugh! So embarrassing!

Jiang Xingxing stammered, “I just wanted to ask if you need anything, like pajamas or something.”

“You reminded me,” Shang Jie said. “Though I prefer sleeping naked, considering there’s a woman in the house, I do need a set of men’s pajamas. Could I trouble you, Miss Jiang, to buy me a set?”

Jiang Xingxing: …

So, did she just hand him the knife to stab her?

“Mr. Shang, about the money for the pajamas…”

Jiang Xingxing was so broke that she was living off the meals provided by the drama crew.

The door opened a crack, and a wet hand held out a black Armani suit.

“I didn’t bring much cash when I escaped. You’ll have to find it yourself.”

Jiang Xingxing searched every pocket of the suit, but apart from an ID card and a few black VIP bank cards, she couldn’t find a single cent in cash.

“Mr. Shang, since we’re in this together, would you mind sharing the PIN for these bank cards with me?”

Sansukini: She isn’t exactly silly-sweet, she’s just a very nice person. While I do appreciate strong female characters, it’s sometimes nice to have a strong backer. She’ll shelter Shang Jie now, but he’ll be her backer for life. I like these two characters because she’ll accept Shang jie’s help but she won’t be reliant on him, while he will give her the opportunities, but he will still understand that she’ll feel better if she worked hard to make the best of what she’s been given. Thus, he won’t pressure anybody to give her the lead roles.

Anyways, I feel generous today. I went to the ophthalmologist to have my eyes check. Coz I’m practically blind, my myopia is so terrible, and I have diabetes since 2022. My eyes is getting worst, but the doctor said I don’t have diabetic retinopathy, my diabetes hasn’t impacted my eyes yet, but I might experience retinal detachment when I get older (due to family history of bad eyesight), so I have to go get a laser surgery for prevention. Well, I’m just glad I found out earlier.

So for that, I’ll be giving this bonus chapter for you, dear readers. Stay awesome, guys.
