Hi baihei. I was reading frostbite (somewhere on ch26), I haven’t gotten to the main angsty part yet but I just know it’s gonna break me. I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful job you’ve done on the translation. It’s beautiful and portrays the emotions of the story perfectly. I will be coming here to read solace once I finish frostbite, but I wanted to appreciate and thank you for posting all the chapters.
Also tiny question, does anybody know if solace has a happy ending? I’m way too attached to our characters, I already know I’m gonna be broken by the end of Frostbite, so can i actually seak solace in solace? (pun intended)

I personally feel that Solace does have a happy ending, but I have heard some readers reflect that the ending feels a little open-ended or rushed. Regardless, I am of the opinion that it does give the closure you will probably be seeking after finishing the last chapter of Frostbite! (And thank you for reminding me that I do need to finish tl-ing Solace…)
thank goodness. i had been driven almost to madness by a friend who said frostbite had a sad ending, was fully ready with spears and all to fight the author head on for my boys (…yes i love xiaoxigu that much). i actually like endings that leave it open to the reader.
and of course, take your time with the translation, i know it can be a bit difficult. thanks for the reply <3
