With more than twenty warships’ cannons aimed in front of them and the Storm’s Eye corridor behind, which they had barely escaped filled with ion storms, it was evident that their retreat path was blocked by a line of firepower.
He Yan and Jiang Miao decided to surrender.
Little Fish boarded smoothly.
Upon boarding, Little Fish encountered a pair of unfamiliar man and woman. He chuckled, “Oh, still struggling in vain to escape?”
He walked over, reaching to lift the mask off He Yan’s face, revealing the handsome face with long eyebrows and phoenix-like eyes. He clicked his tongue, “I knew it, Young Master He of the Bardock family, our infamous ‘Mad Wolf.’ It’s really you!”
Young Master He of the Bardock family? Mad Wolf?
Jiang Miao glanced at He Yan in confusion.
“As for this one…” Little Fish tossed aside He Yan’s mask and gestured towards Jiang Miao.

“Galen?” Jiang Miao exclaimed, “How could he…”
“He’s a businessman, why wouldn’t he?” Little Fish sneered, “You used to be his asset, so of course he would protect you. Now that you’re just a traitor, you’re completely useless to him. He’ll sell you for a good price, that’s the true nature of a businessman.”
“I-I haven’t betrayed my country… I just… I just…” Jiang Miao widened her eyes to argue, then dramatically collapsed on He Yan’s chest, “grieving” as she began to cry.
He Yan: “…”
Tanaka used to complain about Jiang Miao’s exaggerated acting skills, and he wasn’t happy about it.
Hmm, although Tanaka’s mouth is a bit sharp, what he said isn’t completely wrong…
“How did you know it was me?” He Yan asked in a deep voice.
Little Fish clicked his tongue twice and said, “Galen sold me the news that Dr. Jiang had betrayed her country. I didn’t quite believe it, so I dug deeper to find out that the person who originally saw through my identity was actually a Nash spy in disguise. I was puzzled back then. How could someone in Gita recognize me even when I was disguised? Upon careful reflection, black hair, black eyes, genes from a high-gravity planet… It’s not difficult to guess who you are.”
He Yan’s face turned frosty. “How did you also know I would take this route?”
This was the point that puzzled him. Only he and Jiang Miao knew which route he would choose among the three. If Little Fish planned to block all three routes, the cost would be too high.
Little Fish chuckled. “Since I knew it was Young Master He, I started thinking. Young Master He, after obtaining his beloved woman, which route would he choose?”
He Yan’s face darkened.
Sure enough, Little Fish continued, “If it were someone else, I wouldn’t have a clue. But since it’s you, the madman who chased me into the Herg Nebula’s ion turbulence, I didn’t overthink it. I simply ambushed at the entrance of the Storm’s Eye.”
Jiang Miao: “…”
Jiang Miao was still pretending to be afraid, curled up in He Yan’s arms, but she couldn’t help but glance at He Yan. Tsk, his face was as dark as the bottom of a pot.
Indeed, letting the enemy see through them!
“Come on, put gravity limiters on these two,” Little Fish commanded his men. “Be careful. Don’t underestimate Dr. Jiang just because she’s petite and delicate. She’s a woman who can knock me out with one punch!”
Little Fish hadn’t noticed before that Jiang Miao came from a high-gravity planet. She had punched him under the jaw, and if it weren’t for an instant teleportation device, he would have been caught.
Gravity limiters…
Jiang Miao / He Yan: “…”
What kind of duo were they? No, should I say He Yan had such bad luck!
Everything he had mentioned had come to pass!
Little Fish had taken countless lives. Naturally, he wasn’t a good person, and there was a fierce light in his eyes as he spoke.
Jiang Miao curled up even more fearfully in He Yan’s arms. He Yan was about to resist, but more than ten gun barrels were lifted. He could only grit his teeth and reach out his hand, saying, “Don’t hurt her!”
Jiang Miao watched helplessly as He Yan obediently surrendered, both his wrists and ankles secured with metal rings. Little Fish’s men came to grab her wrists, and she glanced nervously, raising her voice and shouting, “We shouldn’t be separated!”
This sentence from Jiang Miao indeed piqued Little Fish’s interest.
This man had a wild and untamed demeanor, fierce and aggressive. Little Fish clicked his tongue in admiration, saying, “From Gita to Nash, such a deeply moving love.”
“I say, Young Master He, are you risking danger to bring this woman back to Nash to recruit talent, or are you planning to marry her?” He asked with great interest.
Just after Jiang Miao had the gravity cuffs placed on her wrists, she couldn’t help but look at He Yan.
He Yan glanced at her as well. His gaze was gentle, affectionate, causing Jiang Miao’s heart to tremble involuntarily.
“She’s the mother of my child,” He Yan turned to Little Fish with a deep voice. “She’s my future wife.”
Out of bounds! Completely out of bounds! This kind of development wasn’t anticipated in the scripted lines!
Jiang Miao’s mind was in chaos. Her wrists hurt from the star pirates’ grasp, and she instinctively struggled a bit. Immediately, she felt the effect of the gravity limiter—now she only had the strength of an ordinary woman.
Claps rang out as Little Fish happily applauded. “Indeed, it’s all for love!”
The star pirates burst into laughter.
After enjoying himself, Little Fish walked over, grabbed Jiang Miao, and despite her screams, bent down and slung her over his shoulder.
“Since she’s Young Master He’s wife, given our relationship…” Little Fish grinned maliciously, “I won’t be polite.”
He Yan’s expression changed. Before he could move, two star pirates flanked him—one on each side. Besides being fitted with gravity limiters, his wrists were tightly bound with restraint straps. He was completely at their mercy.
“Bastard! Don’t touch her!” He Yan shouted angrily.
Seeing He Yan’s face darken like this made Little Fish even happier. He had almost fallen into He Yan’s hands several times before, and although he had managed to escape each time, the losses were heavy, and the grudge ran deep. Now he had the chance to humiliate He Yan like this, and he was ecstatic.
“Keep an eye on him! I’ll handle things!” Little Fish instructed his men.
Laughter and whistles erupted among his men.
With Jiang Miao still screaming, “He Yan! He Yan!” all the way, Little Fish carried her further inside.
He Yan was firmly held down by several strong men. His struggles were fierce, and someone gave him a hard blow, causing his cheek and eye corner to instantly bruise.
“Damn it! Even with the gravity limiter, he’s still this strong!” the person muttered.
Drops of blood from his eye corner fell onto the floor.
Forced down with his shoulders and back pressed, He Yan bent over, head hanging low, silently calculating the distance Little Fish had walked.
In the corridor, Jiang Miao continued to scream while randomly striking Little Fish’s back. At the same time, she quietly observed her surroundings with her eyes. When Little Fish carried her through the second gate, she suddenly raised her voice and shouted, “He Yan, save me!”
These four words were the prearranged signal to act.
The ship’s AI received this preset trigger command, silently scanned Jiang Miao’s location, and activated the force field. Originally used to contain air when the deck hatch was open, during the time between Jiang Miao and He Yan discovering they were ambushed by Little Fish’s boarding party, Jiang Miao had adjusted the force field to act as a sound barrier.
On the deck compartment, He Yan and the star pirates heard Jiang Miao scream, but suddenly, she fell silent. The star pirates, oblivious, joked, “Boss, what did you do, knock her out?”
But restrained He Yan’s eyes flashed with a cold light. Swiftly, he lunged forward, legs cutting through the air like blades. Before the star pirates could react, one of the men holding He Yan had already fallen.
Even after being fitted with gravity limiters and disarmed, the star pirates had lowered their guns. Now, caught off guard, they quickly raised their weapons again.
The other pirate felt his grip slip, the person he was holding onto slipping away. Before he could draw his gun, a precise elbow strike caught him squarely in the face, blood spraying.
Then, his throat was tightly gripped!
As he had just said, even with the gravity limiter, He Yan’s strength was formidable!
All of this happened in the blink of an eye. By the time the others aimed their guns, one of them had fallen, and another pirate had his throat gripped tightly by He Yan, known as the “Mad Wolf.”
“Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot!” someone shouted. “Boss said not to kill him!”
In that moment of hesitation among the star pirates, He Yan had already dragged the man he was holding behind the hovercar parked on the deck.
“Mad Wolf, listen up. Your woman is still in the boss’s hands! Do you want her to die?” someone shouted loudly.
Hidden behind the hovercar, He Yan’s gaze turned as sharp as a blade.
This was a He Yan that Jiang Miao had never seen before.
He Yan intimidated the star pirates with his reputation for fearlessness and death-defiance. Every pirate he caught couldn’t shake him off, even if, like Little Fish, they tried to escape into the dangerous ion turbulence of the nebula, only to meet with total annihilation. In the end, only Little Fish escaped, relying on his unique instant transmission device.
The pirates called him a mad wolf.
Later on, He Yan embraced this nickname.
With a soft “snap,” He Yan snapped the hostage’s neck. He reached into the man’s pocket and found the small controller for the gravity limiter.
“Click, click, click, click,” four sounds rang out as the metal cuffs on his wrists and ankles automatically opened and fell off.
He Yan gripped the gun from the dead man’s waist.
Since witnessing his parents’ deaths in a pirate raid on Gita, He Yan harbored an intense hatred for pirates.
Facing the pirates, there was no trace of the tenderness he showed Jiang Miao. As he gripped the gun, He Yan was no longer He Yan.
He was the “Mad Wolf,” infamous among pirates for his ruthless brutality.
He Yan held the gun, and the Mad Wolf unleashed havoc.
Gunshots and shouts erupted chaotically in the deck compartment, but soon, silence fell.
The hatch opened, and He Yan stepped into the corridor, gun in hand. The deck compartment was eerily quiet.
Jiang Miao had assured him she would be fine.
He Yan’s footsteps were swift and urgent. If Jiang Miao had suffered any harm or insult, he couldn’t forgive himself!
The captain’s bedroom door swung open, and He Yan burst in with his gun raised!
On the large bed, Little Fish lay unconscious, bare-chested.
Jiang Miao’s clothes were torn, revealing her inner garments and her pale skin underneath. She sat on Little Fish, vigorously attempting to remove his pants!
The scene was briefly hot and provocative!
Author’s note: From the border surveillance line of Gita to the “Eye of the Storm” corridor, it took about a day and a half. Crossing the “Eye of the Storm” took roughly a month and a half, with slight variations in piloting techniques. The other two routes would take about two months longer than the “Eye of the Storm,” totaling approximately three to four months.
All these times are approximate and should not be taken too seriously.
