I Really Like My Sister

Chapter 37. On The Household Registry

Dai Yining was dumbfounded, standing there lost in thought as she watched the back of the white-shirted teenager leaving.

She certainly knew that it was Chen Du. There was no one who did not know that it was Chen Du. On the campus wall of honour, a row past almost every column, at the top hung his picture. A white shirt on a blue background formula photo. He faced the camera without expression. The deep eyebrows and eyes were between youth and maturity, handsome, heroic, and extremely outstanding. When compared to the people below, they were as  crooked as melons and cracked like dates.

The white shirt had a caricature-like effect on him, and he himself looked like the teenager in the cartoon, riding the wind and stepping on it. His long-legged strides were steady and fast, constantly leaving people behind all the way. The corners of his clothes could bring up a small volume of fresh, cold wind.

“Chen Du? Year 1? That, Chen Du?

“Almost. Can you stop guessing? Do you know how rich Chen Du’s family is? Compare that to Chen Jiashu. If she’s a relative, how could they let a girl live at school?”

“…”

Chen Jiashu put on his sleeves and zipped up the jacket with a calm face. She stepped through the school door in front of a crowd of eyes.

“Jiashu, you and Chen Du know each other?” Dai Yining asked with a curious look as she passed by and quickly grabbed her arm.

The people around her, each walking their own way, uncharacteristically slowed their steps and pricked up their ears.

“Hmm.” She responded.

“Wow, so impressive,” Dai Yining’s expression was surprised, her eyes wide with innocence as she pursued the question, “Where did you meet him?”

Chen Jiashu’s eyes flickered slightly as she gave her a smirking look. “On the household register.”

Dai Yining: “What?”

Dai Yining was once again dumbfounded. Her eyes were so wide that they were about to burst out of their sockets. They were full of the words, “Are you teasing me?

Who cared to tease about this kind of thing? Chen Jiashu pulled her arm out of the crook of her stiff elbow and walked away without a word.

The two parties waved their sleeves and left without a cloud, leaving Dai Yining here to be watched as a joke.

She was simply furious. She originally thought it was easy to catch Chen Jiashu’s pigtail once, but who expected that she would kill a boss halfway through? She was stealing the chicken but not the rice. For Chen Du, the points were considered unnecessary. Who cares if he wore the school uniform correctly or not? But if she was the one who registered for the deduction of points, wouldn’t she have offended him?

When she thought about the glance she received from Chen Du, she felt a chill in her heart, but at the same time, she couldn’t tell what was going on. What was the truth? Chen Du and Chen Jiashu…

“What did I just say? And you also said they were not siblings. This is now officially stamped, right.”

“What’s this called? A giant melon falling from the sky? It’s as if I smell the aroma of the blood of some wealthy family.”

“Don’t even say it. The two of them walk and talk in this cold style. It’s really alike. From their backs, they are like immortals, and the air is like a dragon.”

“You are just great. You have the ability to recite the whole piece?”

“The teacher is coming! Let’s go.”

In one morning study session, word of the incident at the school gate had spread around the school.

As soon as the bell rang for morning reading, Chen Jiashu received a shower of attention from the whole class, with eager eyes staring at the school uniform she had taken off and placed in her drawer.

She took a copy of Compulsory 2 out of the drawer and turned to Physics.

Today, Chen Du was uncharacteristically silent. Chen Jiashu sent him two messages at different times, saying that she would return the clothes to him, but the two messages were silent. She didn’t even know what he was doing.

She suddenly recalled his back at the entrance of the school in the morning when he left without saying a word. Chen Jiashu thought back on it now and somehow felt that this guy seemed to be a bit angry?
