Dying In The Male Lead’s Arms Every Time I Transmigrate

Extra 1 – Urn

Ever since Ning Meng returned to the mansion from Mount Yan, she could no longer find the figure of Shi Qi’s mother. Even the urn she was holding, had also disappeared.

She touched her wound, and found that blood had stopped dripping from it.

Shi Qi bandaged her as soon as they came out of there so now she felt nothing aside from slight pain. She stayed in the ancestral hall for a while and looked at the memorial tablets above, feeling very strange in her heart.

Particularly the one at the top, Grandpa Shi’s.

For so many years, he faked his own death and killed so many people, even dealing a hand against his own son, and marrying a wife for this purpose.

He was really possessed to a certain level, and it was on par with Emperor Qin Shi.

Now that Ning Meng had thought about it. There really was no difference between this and what Shi Qi had described at the beginning. He had indeed guessed it right.

She raised her head and said, “I’m going back to the cottage first.”

Ning Meng knew something went wrong.

She remembered clearly that she had left it on the table. If Li Chun didn’t take it, and the men in black outside also didn’t take it, who else could have taken it away? What if there was another unspeakable matter happening again?

“Madam, the urn is gone. The people outside have said that no one had entered the cottage. They also didn’t hear any movement inside.” Li Chun said, her heartbeat quickening.

Now that this was happening all over again, would the same thing repeat itself?

Ning Meng bit her lip and thought for a while. Then, she called Shi Qi at the mansion, “I received an urn before going to the mansion and now it’s gone. Nobody has come inside the cottage as well.”

If the urn were taken for another purpose again…

However, she didn’t expect that Shi Qi would ask her, “An urn…Was it a box that looked very similar to the one in the mansion?”

Ning Meng nodded, “Yeah.”

“I had asked someone to take it.” Shi Qi said and explained, “Otherwise, would I have let you come into contact with something of unknown origins?”

He had added extra protection to the room before he left and didn’t expect that his mother would be able to go in. Fortunately, she only scared her and didn’t do anything else.

Speaking of this, Shi Qi himself couldn’t figure out why his mother, who didn’t care about anything, would suddenly do such a thing.

Did mothers and daughter-in-laws really find it hard to get along?

Ning Meng didn’t know that this matter was an unexpected mishap, and assumed that a little ghost had taken it so the men in black hadn’t seen it.

Surveillance cameras were built in the cottage long ago so she could just check it later.

“What’s the use of that urn?” Ning Meng asked curiously.

Logically speaking, Shi Shanyan was still Shi Qi’s uncle. Although he wasn’t entered into the family tree because of dying prematurely, he was still a member of the Shi Family.

It was all that sick and delusional Grandpa Shi‘s fault, selling out his own child for the sake of obtaining immortality. He was completely inhuman.

Shi Qi pondered for a moment, “There is a curse on the wooden tablet, and the primer was the ashes.”

The wooden tablet had Ning Meng’s real name carved on it, implying that it went deep into the soul, and could not simply be blurred out using his blood. It could only be solved by knowing the source.

As for the rest, he made a tomb for his second uncle, and was now able to bury him safely despite having not lived in this world for a long time.

Ning Meng didn’t ask any more questions.

She knew that he would take care of everything, and would never let her know about all those processes, but nevertheless, would give her a reassuring result.

It was only when she hung up the phone that she couldn’t help but think to herself, such an excellent man like Shi Qi, was really hanging onto a tree like her, it was quite…

The system suddenly popped out, “If it wasn’t for you, he wouldn’t be able to live that long.”

Ning Meng was surprised, “Then how long was he supposed to have lived until?”

Advertisements

The system looked at the information it knew, and replied, “Until three years ago. The world would have originally collapsed at that time and he would die. The world would fall into an interface where ghosts and monsters run rampant, and humans would flee, die, get plagued with a disease…”

Like it was Judgement Day.

It didn’t say the following words out loud, but Ning Meng silently understood it. She didn’t pursue this topic any longer. Even though she was curious, she didn’t want to hear about Shi Qi’s death again.

She turned on her mobile phone and found that all the popular Weibo posts were related to Mount Yan. The news about the collapse of Mount Yan had begun to spread wildly.

People who wished that the world would be in chaos, would claim that Mount Yan’s collapse meant that an earthquake was bound to arrive at the capital, and when time came, they wouldn’t be able to survive.

Others said that Mount Yan was a hidden volcano.

“There have been no conclusive results so far but there must be a reason. Perhaps someone was doing research inside and accidentally exploded something. Perhaps, it was the government.”

“I am worried about an earthquake happening. This might be a sign. I’m going to be careful going out from now on and bring my money with me.”

“I’m afraid this is a volcano. You can escape from an earthquake but you can’t escape from a volcano.”

Various thoughts and rumors have spread to the top of the hot search. As a result, when several netizens clicked on the article, it was filled with speculations.

She shook her head and put away her phone.

Li Chun had already brought the footage of the cottage, and the computer screen quickly showed the scene just after she left.

After she left, Li Chun didn’t dare to move the urn, instead, she called Shi Qi to talk about this matter, and then took her things upstairs.

In the following period, she cleaned up on the second floor, and occasionally when she went downstairs, she walked over directly. She didn’t even remember that there was an urn on the table.

Ning Meng rubbed her eyes, and at this moment, she noticed a child suddenly appear on the screen. It was carrying the urn that was on the coffee table.

As soon as the child turned around, she was able to recognize it. It was the little ghost who used to frighten her when she was in Ning Ning’s body.

Seeing her stare intently as if she had just seen something, Li Chun asked in a low voice, “Ma’am, did you see anything…?”

She couldn’t see what was going on, but she soon saw the urn moving as if it was being held by someone.

The urn hung suspended in mid-air and soon quickly vanished.

Ning Meng nodded, “You might not be able to see it.”

Li Chun didn’t speak, but she understood in her heart. She thought that the madam was an ordinary woman, and didn’t think she was also a special person, and though she might not be as good as Master Qi, she wasn’t too bad either.

After confirming that it was Shi Qi’s little ghost, Ning Meng turned off the computer.

After this incident, the sky had turned dim.

Li Chun prepared meals for her, and because she had probably learnt the gist of the situation, the meal tonight was exceptionally rich. However, it was unfortunate that Ning Meng was eating by herself.

After returning to the room, it was completely dark outside.

Ning Meng entered Shi Qi’s room and reckoned that he would not come back. She was about to wash up and go to bed. Too many things had happened today. Last night, because Li Chun had been possessed, she was too frightened to have a good night’s sleep.

But now that she thought about it, Li Chun didn’t suffer any symptoms of being possessed at all. She knew at first glance that the other party was definitely in good health, completely unlike when ghosts usually possessed a body and the host’s vitality was being sucked away.

Who would have thought that when she came out of the bathroom, the lights had turned dark.

Ning Meng hadn’t yet reacted, thinking that there was a power outage. She reached out and touched the wall beside the door but before she could reach the switch, she felt a hand.

She was so frightened she immediately withdrew her hand.

But she didn’t expect that hand to grab a hold of her wrist and in the next moment, she bumped into a hard chest. Ning Meng’s other hand pressed against him, and she smelled a familiar scent.

She asked aloud, “Why did you turn off the lights?”

It was so dark she couldn’t see anything. She knew it was suspicious for the Shi Residence to have a power outage as this incident had never occurred in the cottage or the mansion before.

Their current posture was quite intimate, making her feel a little uncomfortable. She wanted to withdraw, but she couldn’t pull her hand out, and could only allow it to be held by Shi Qi’s hand.

The sound of breathing in her ears grew closer.

In the dark, with the exception of her eyes, all her other senses grew heightened and sensitive, feeling him getting closer and closer until her forehead touched his chin, followed by his lips.

Shi Qi reached out his hand and pressed her head towards him.

The End

Thank you so much for all your hard work! Your translation is beautiful and this novel is gripping. I’m sad we couldn’t see Ning Zhi and Shi Qi more as a lovey dovey couple but it was a joy to follow them this far. I look forward to your other translations!

I might’ve to ransack Weibo for the spicy part😂😂😂 But seriously, why not just put it on the book part T^T I’m actually not a fan of thriller/horror stuff (since my big fragile a$$ can’t even after living in a haunted house for so long) I initially came for the title (thought it was gonna be hefty tragic) but it turned out just as fine. The translation was superb, and I am so happy for people who worked on it to have finally finish this project. Thank you!^^
